🌸 Shotgun? Blossom thinks she’s the co-driver! 🚐🐾

“Excuse me, why is everyone acting like I’m not in charge of this trip? I’ve claimed the front seat, I’m supervising the driver, and I expect snacks at every stop.” 🤨😂

Blossom has officially promoted herself from therapy dog to Head of Transport Operations. Her duties include:
🐾 Judging your driving
🐾 Watching for snack opportunities
🐾 Looking adorable while doing absolutely nothing
🐾 Ensuring all passengers follow her instructions

Pretty sure she believes the van belongs to her and we’re all just along for the ride! ❤️🌸

🐴🌿 More Than Just Horses 🌿🐴

One of the things we love most at OTM is seeing the difference the farm environment makes for our participants.

Whether it’s feeding the horses, patting the dogs, helping with farm jobs, going for a walk around the property, or simply enjoying some fresh air, the farm provides opportunities to build confidence, independence, social skills and wellbeing in a way that doesn’t feel like therapy.

Every day is a little different, and that’s exactly how we like it. ❤️

🐴💚 A morning on the farm looks a little like this… 💚🐴

One of the best parts of our farm-based supports is getting involved in the daily care of the horses. From feed-up runs in the buggy, to checking water, handing out hay and making sure all our horses are happy and healthy, there’s always something to do! 🚜🌱

Not only is it a lot of fun, but activities like these help build confidence, responsibility, independence and practical life skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.

Jasmine was out this morning making sure everyone was fed and happy, with plenty of horsey supervisors keeping a close eye on her work! 😂🐴

OTM cooking lessons are going well… sort of 😂🍗

Today Jane bravely attempted to learn some kitchen skills from our participant, who quickly realised she might need a bit more supervision than expected! 🤣

Luckily the pooches were on duty as Quality Control Officers, keeping a close eye on proceedings and patiently waiting for any taste-testing opportunities 🐶👀🐶

At OTM, everyone has something to teach, everyone has something to learn, and sometimes the participant ends up training the support worker! 💙

They’re here! 🐴✨

Our beautiful horses have officially arrived at J&J Farm right here at our OTM hub and we couldn’t be more excited! Watching them settle in has already brought so much calm and joy to the farm 🌿

Very soon, our participants will have the opportunity to connect with them through gentle grooming and hands on support activities which is a chance to build confidence, learn new skills, and simply enjoy being around these amazing animals 🤍

This is just the beginning… we can’t wait to grow, share, and create meaningful day programs out here on the farm!

Rodney took to the hydrotherapy pool like a fish to water! 💦 While land based exercises can be a bit of a challenge, he absolutely loves his time in the water with our staff member Jane. Hydrotherapy is not only fun but incredibly therapeutic helping improve strength, balance, and reduce pain.

The best part? People of all ages, mobility levels, and abilities can join our OTM team in the hydrotherapy pool and enjoy moving their body while improving their overall health and fitness 💙

Here’s a look back at our OTM Christmas party from a couple of weeks ago 🎄

We loved spending the day with our participants, surrounded by horses, deer and some great company 🐴🦌

It was such a special way to connect, slow down and enjoy time together.

We hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and were able to enjoy some well deserved rest, connection and meaningful moments.

Thank you everyone for being a part of the OTM family.
We can’t wait to see what we all achieve together.
