✨ New Mobility Class with Steph ✨

What exactly is mobility?

Mobility is your ability to move your joints through their full range of motion with strength, control and confidence. It’s about creating freedom in your body—not just stretching muscles, but improving the way you move in everyday life.

Whether it’s reaching overhead, getting down to the floor, gardening, picking up your kids or simply feeling less stiff, better mobility can make all of these things feel easier.

The best part? You don’t need to be flexible to begin.

This class is beginner-friendly, welcoming and designed for real people. No complicated choreography or intimidating movements—just straightforward, easy-to-follow exercises that help you move and feel better.

Steph has a wonderfully easygoing nature that immediately puts people at ease. She explains everything clearly, offers options along the way, and creates a relaxed, supportive environment where you can simply show up as you are.

Come along, have a laugh, learn something new about your body, and discover just how good moving well can feel.

Everyone is welcome. 🌿

If you had told 19-year-old me that yoga would become such a defining part of my life, I wouldn’t have believed you.

What began as a physical practice slowly became something much deeper.

Over the years, yoga has met me in every season of life.

In the ambitious years.
The uncertain years.
The years of becoming a mother.
The years of building a business.
The years where confidence came easily.
And the years where self-doubt sat heavily on my shoulders.

Yoga has never asked me to be more flexible, stronger, younger, calmer, or better.

It has simply asked me to show up.

Again and again.

Not perfectly.
Not gracefully.
Not with all the answers.

Just honestly.

The older I get, the less interested I am in what yoga looks like from the outside, and the more interested I am in how it helps us live.

How it teaches us to listen.
To soften.
To stay.
To breathe when things feel hard.
To trust ourselves.
To keep beginning.

I still get excited when I land an arm balance I’ve been practicing but this isn’t the main celebration.

It’s about celebrating a practice that has helped me become more myself.

A practice that continues to humble me, challenge me, comfort me, and remind me that growth rarely happens all at once.

It happens breath by breath.

To every student who has ever stepped into the studio, rolled out a mat, and chosen themselves for an hour—thank you.

What a privilege it is to walk this path together.

Meditation isn’t about getting it right.

It’s not about an empty mind.
It’s not about feeling calm every time.
And it’s certainly not about being “good” at it.

Some days meditation feels spacious and quiet.

Other days it’s restless.
Messy.
Uncomfortable.

Your mind wanders.
Your legs ache.
You replay conversations.
You make shopping lists.

This isn’t failure.

This is the practice.

Meditation offers us a rare opportunity to sit with ourselves exactly as we are. No distractions. No fixing. No performing.

Just noticing.

Noticing the thoughts.
The emotions.
The tension in the body.
The stories we’ve been carrying.

In a world that constantly encourages us to move away from discomfort, meditation gently asks us to stay.

To witness.

To become aware.

And in that awareness, we gain something incredibly valuable: insight.

A deeper understanding of where we are.
What we’re feeling.
What we’re avoiding.
What we might need.

Meditation creates a container where everything is welcome—the peaceful moments and the chaotic ones.

Because the goal isn’t perfection.

The goal is presence.

And every time you choose to sit, whether your mind feels quiet or wildly busy, you are strengthening your capacity to meet yourself with honesty, compassion, and curiosity.

Perfectly imperfect.

Just like being human.

Hi, I’m Genevieve (Gen), founder of Harvest Yoga Rutherglen.

I didn’t set out to build a yoga studio. I simply followed a path that, over time, felt impossible to ignore.

I’m a scientist on paper, my work is grounded in a Bachelor of Exercise Science and over 10,000 hours of teaching experience, but my greatest teachers have always been the people who walk through the studio doors. Their stories, challenges, growth, and courage continue to shape the way I teach.

Alongside yoga, I work as a Bowen Therapist and am currently studying Somatic Movement Exercise, deepening my understanding of how the body stores, expresses, and ultimately heals through movement and awareness.

Like many women, I juggle the beautiful chaos of family life, business ownership, and the endless balancing act of trying to do all the things well.
I know imposter syndrome like an old friend, I know perfectionism. I know the feeling of wondering whether I’m doing enough.

But I also know this:
Teaching yoga is the thing that consistently brings me home. it’s a calling, I am meant to be doing this.
Not because I have all the answers, but because I get to witness something extraordinary. I get to watch people reconnect with themselves. To see confidence grow. To watch someone realise they are stronger, softer, more capable, and more whole than they believed.

My classes aren’t about perfect poses or performing on a mat. They’re about creating a space where people can breathe, move, feel, and remember who they are beneath the noise of everyday life.
If there’s one thing I hope people leave with after practising with me, it’s not greater flexibility or a more advanced yoga pose (although you will likely see this too), It’s a deeper trust in themselves.

Because in the end, yoga isn’t about becoming someone else.

It’s about discovering a version of yourself that feels like home.

Our Prenatal Yoga series.

This journey unfolds through four gentle pillars — each one created to support you as your body and baby grow.

🌸 Find Your Flow
Move with ease, build gentle warmth, lift your spirits, and invite energy to flow freely through your body.

🌸 Strength & Support
As your shape shifts, we focus on postural balance — strengthening through the back and hips to help you feel grounded and supported.

🌸 Pelvic Floor Connection
A chance to tune in, soften, and strengthen — cultivating awareness and connection with this powerful center of support.

🌸 Rest & Restore
Now more than ever, rest is sacred.
Take time to slow down, connect with your baby, and create a deeply nurturing space for you both to thrive.

4 pm every Friday.

Flexibility gets a lot of attention in yoga.Touch your toes. Go deeper. Open more.

But mobility… that’s the quiet strength underneath it all.

It’s what allows you to hold what you open.To move with control, not just range. To feel supported, not just stretched.

In our practice, we’re not chasing extremes. We’re building something sustainable. Something honest.

A balance of softness and strength.Length and stability.Effort and ease.

Your body doesn’t lie.

Before the mind has time to justify, override, or soften the edges… the body has already spoken.

A tight jaw.
A clenched belly.
Shallow breath.
Heavy shoulders.

These are not inconveniences to push through —
they are messages.
Signals.
Truth.

The body holds onto what the mind may try to move past. Experiences, emotions, stress — they don’t just disappear. They live in our tissues, our nervous system, our patterns.

Yoga invites us back into that conversation.

Not to fix.
Not to force.
But to listen.

Through slow, intentional movement…
through stillness…
through breath…

we begin to feel what’s actually there.

And sometimes, that means softening armour we didn’t realise we were wearing.
Sometimes it means sitting with discomfort instead of escaping it.
Sometimes it means allowing something to finally move through.

This is the practice.

A remembering that your body is not working against you —
it’s working for you.

Holding wisdom.
Holding truth.
Waiting for you to hear it.

There’s something really special happening in our space right now…

Our Kids Yoga Club is growing 🌿

More little bodies moving.
More big feelings being expressed.
More confidence, connection, and calm being built from the ground up.

This rebrand has been about creating something that truly reflects what these classes are: not just yoga… but a place where kids can belong.

Because the earlier we introduce these tools—breath, movement, awareness—the more naturally they become part of a child’s world.

Not something they have to “learn later”…but something they grow up with.

And the most important part?
Every single child is welcome here.

Quiet or loud, wiggly or reserved, confident or still finding their way.

There is space for all of it.

This is more than a class. It’s a club, a community, a place to land.
