Counselling isn’t just about “fixing problems” when things feel overwhelming. 🌱

It can also be about:

learning how to process emotions
building resilience
improving communication and relationships
understanding yourself better
developing the skills you need to navigate everyday life

These are skills that flow into everything - school, friendships, family relationships, confidence, work, and wellbeing.

We spend so many years learning academic skills, but emotional wellbeing and coping skills matter too.

Our counsellor, Carolyn, is available on Thursdays for children, teens, and adults.

Please give Sam a warm Kairos welcome 💚

Sam is our newest Occupational Therapist and has officially joined the team! He brings such a calm, friendly energy and we are so excited to have him as part of Kairos.

Sam is currently in the clinic on Saturdays and is already fully booked (which says a lot already 😅), but we know our families and team will love getting to know him.

We’re so excited for everything ahead and grateful to continue growing a team that genuinely cares about supporting children and families 🌱

Starting school is about so much more than knowing your ABCs ✏️

If your child is heading to Kindergarten in 2027, this workshop is designed to help you feel clear, confident, and supported in what actually matters.

We’ll be talking about:
• What “school readiness” really means
• The key skills that make a difference (beyond academics)
• What’s typical (and what’s not)
• Practical ways to support your child at home
• When it might be helpful to see a speech pathologist

This is a parent-focused session with plenty of real-life strategies and space to ask questions.

My 4-year-old asked me something the other day that really made me pause…
“When will I stop eating breakfast?”
At first, I was confused. But then it clicked.
In his world, adults don’t eat breakfast — because he doesn’t see us do it. We feed the kids first. We eat later.
Sometimes we skip it altogether.
And just like that, he’s built an understanding of what “growing up” looks like.
This is how children learn. Not just through what we say,
but through what they see, experience, and notice every single day.
As speech pathologists, we often talk about modelling language… but we’re also modelling routines, expectations, and ways of being. Those little everyday moments? They matter more than we think 💭
