FREE COVID-19 VACCINE – DON’T MISS OUT! Till 1/102026

If you are currently eligible for a free COVID-19 vaccination, now may be a good time to get your vaccination.

From 1 October, eligibility for free COVID-19 vaccines will change. If you are no longer eligible under the new criteria, you may need to pay privately for your COVID-19 vaccine.

Free vaccines will continue to be available for eligible high-risk groups, including certain older adults and people who are severely immunocompromised.

Thinking About Taking Iron Tablets? Read This First. 🩸

Feeling tired doesn’t always mean you need iron.

Iron supplements should only be taken if you have been diagnosed with an iron deficiency or your doctor has recommended them after a blood test. Many symptoms of low iron—such as fatigue, weakness, and poor concentration—can also be caused by other medical conditions.

Taking iron when your body doesn’t need it isn’t harmless. Too much iron can build up in the body and may damage important organs such as the liver, heart, and pancreas. In severe cases, iron overload can lead to iron toxicity, which can be serious.

Before starting an iron supplement:
• Speak with your doctor or pharmacist.
• Ask whether a blood test is needed to check your iron levels.
• Only take the dose recommended for you.
• Keep iron tablets out of reach of children, as accidental overdose can be life-threatening.
