Upgrade to imaging facilities.

Our main General and Dental X-ray room at the CGH Hospital campus in Sale will be undergoing a significant upgrade to improve the imaging facilities and enhance the experience for patients.

The upgrade works started on Monday 10 August 2026 and are expected to be completed by Monday 14 September 2026, when services will resume as normal.

During this period, there will be no reduction in our capacity to provide General and Dental X-ray services. The only change is the location where walk-in patients will receive their imaging.

Patients with scheduled X-ray appointments should continue to follow the instructions provided at the time of booking.
Walk-in General and Dental X-ray patients should attend our CBD Imaging Site, located at 396 Raymond Street, Sale, with access available via the Sporting Legends car park.

The sun was shining and, best of all, our clients chose exactly how they wanted to spend their day. Our team members Dot and Sarah were delighted to help make it happen.

Supporting people to stay connected, enjoy meaningful experiences and make their own choices is at the heart of aged care.

Today, we recognise and celebrate the incredible people who dedicate their time, care, and compassion to supporting older Australians.

Aged Care Employee Day is a chance to say thank you to the thousands of workers across aged care, retirement living and seniors housing who make a meaningful difference every day.

From nurses and personal carers to cleaners, chefs, maintenance teams, gardeners, administrators, and volunteers - every role plays an important part in creating safe, welcoming environments and supporting the dignity, comfort, and wellbeing of older people.

We particularly acknowledge our staff at Wilson Lodge in Sale, Stretton Park in Maffra, Maffra Hospital and Laurina Lodge in Heyfield. We’re proud to acknowledge the commitment, kindness and professionalism of our aged care workforce. Your dedication to those you care for is valued by our community.

Today, our community is invited to put on their favourite denim and help make a difference for children living with genetic conditions.

Jeans for Genes Day raises vital funds for children’s genetic disease research through the Children’s Medical Research Institute, supporting research into genetic diseases and birth defects that affect around 1 in 20 children.

These conditions can include childhood cancers, cystic fibrosis, and life-threatening metabolic disorders. Every donation helps researchers work towards better treatments, improved outcomes, and brighter futures for children and families.

Whether you’re at school, work, or part of our local community, wearing denim and making a gold coin donation is a simple way to show your support.

Together, our community can help advance research and bring hope to families affected by genetic conditions. 💙

Today, we celebrate the strength, culture, and bright futures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children across Australia.

National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Children’s Day is a time to recognise the importance of culture, family, community, and connection to Country in supporting children’s wellbeing, identity, and development.

The 2026 theme, “Living Our Truth,” celebrates the power of truth-telling, the sharing of knowledge between generations, and the voices and stories of children, families, Elders, and communities.

As a regional hospital, we acknowledge the vital role that culture, connection and community play in creating healthier futures for all children. We honour the wisdom of Elders, the strength of families, and the resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.

Become a F.A.S.T. Hero.

A stroke can happen to anyone, at any time — and knowing the signs could help save a life.

This National Stroke Week (3-9 August), we’re encouraging our community to become F.A.S.T. heroes by learning how to recognise the warning signs of stroke and acting quickly.

Remember F.A.S.T.

😊 Face – Is their face drooping?
💪 Arms – Can they lift both arms?
🗣️ Speech – Is their speech difficult to understand?
⏰ Time – If you notice any of these signs, call 000 immediately.

Every minute matters when someone is having a stroke. The quick actions of family members, friends, and bystanders can make a life-changing difference.

This year’s theme celebrates the everyday heroes who recognised the signs of stroke, called an ambulance, and helped give someone the best chance of recovery.
Together, we can make our community stroke aware and ready to act.
