Birthing in Our Community A maternal and infant health care service for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in Brisbane, Logan, bayside and Moreton Bay.

BiOC program began as a partnership between the Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH), the Brisbane Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (ATSICHS Brisbane) and the Mater Mothers Hospital. There are now five hubs located in Salisbury, Strathpine, Caboolture, Logan and the Bayside suburbs.

👣 Term 1 Playgroup Success! 👣

Last Term, our Deadly Kindies and BiOC Early Learning Program playgroups welcomed 55 families, supported 83 children, and delivered 24 playgroup sessions across our four sites.

Playgroup helps bubs build confidence, develop early learning skills, and strengthen their cultural identity, while empowering families as their child’s first and most important teacher.

Thank you to all the Mob who joined us in term 1. Together, we’re growing strong children, strong families, and strong communities.
