Our physio Jack Miles travelled to Melbourne for the weekend to upskill in Athletes experiencing Back Pain ✈️🏃‍♂️

It was a great weekend getting stuck into all things bone stress injury, disc injuries, and thoracic spine pain — learning from the experts, sharing ideas and picking up plenty of things to bring back into the clinic.

Always good to step away from the day-to-day, challenge what you think you know and come back with a few new ideas to help the athletes you work with.

A weekend well spent 🤝

Our Remedial Massage Therapist, Trent also known as The Athlete's Guild was recently featured, and we’re pretty lucky to have him as part of the Hoys Health team!

Trent brings extensive knowledge and experience to his work, with special interests in areas including men’s pelvic health, lymphoedema and sports remedial massage,

A little reminder of why we do our Golf Day. ⛳️💙

Sure, there’s plenty of fun, a few drinks, good food and some questionable golf swings… but behind it all is a pretty important reason.

We’re raising money to support locals when they need it most.

And this is where some of that money went. 🫶

It’s incredibly special to see the funds raised from our Golf Day go directly towards helping a local family through a difficult time.

Hudson, we hope everything goes well on your trip, mate. We’re so glad we could play a small part in supporting you and your family.

Introducing Hudson, 9 years old and a resident of Coffs Harbour on the mid-north coast of NSW. Today marks his first Little Wings flight.

Here we see Hudson all smilies, hiding feelings of uncertainty for what lay ahead at hospital… but distracted by the joy of flight and closely held by his mum.

Little Wings is all about easing the journey, ensuring children in regional locations can access life-saving medical treatment that is only available in major cities… but we can never underestimate the importance of having a loved one by our side during these challenging moments, to advocate, to navigate and to catch us in our most vulnerable moments.

This little plane flys through the clouds, easing the distance between hospital and home, but ultimately, keeping families united through it all.

A little professional development with some exciting things to come at Hoys Health 👀💃

Recently our OT Leia and Physio Amanda completed the Dance Health Facilitator Workshop.

They’re now looking at how they can bring what they’ve learned back to Hoys, with plans to develop a dance health service designed to support dancers with their movement, performance, injury prevention and overall wellbeing.

Watch this space... we’re excited to see where this one goes! 🩰✨

A massive shout out to local superstar Lexi Brown on an incredible Commonwealth Games debut! 💚💛

This morning at 4:30am, Lexi took to the track in the Women’s T47 100m, crossing the line in 13.50 seconds to finish 7th, narrowly missing a new personal best.

To make the achievement even more remarkable, Lexi is now Australia’s youngest-ever Commonwealth Games track and field representative. 🌟

A student at Nambucca Heads High School, Lexi spent some time with us a few years ago as one of our young athletes, and it’s been amazing to watch her journey unfold. Seeing her represent Australia on one of the biggest sporting stages is a testament to her dedication, resilience and hard work.

We’re incredibly proud of everything you’ve achieved, Lexi. This is a phenomenal milestone, and we know it’s only the beginning.
