Resistance creates more of it

When you resist how you feel or try blocking it out you create more of it

When someone tells you to be positive when you're going through a stressful time

You feel it! Your body needs the validation first

You can put a positive spin on things but your body is all tense and its telling you another story

Those of you who know me personally know the intense stresses i've travelled through

My biggest tool

Let myself be stressed

Feel it in my body

Stamp my feet, rage, scream, cry

Before i pick myself up

I allow the full expression of my emotions out to release and pass through

And most of all i have compassion for myself and that i don't have to figure it all out

But if you resist it, try and not be stressed, you're creating more stress in your body

Pushing it down, a pot ready to boil and explode

So my loves

Whatever you're experiencing

This human experience is full of polarity

Let yourself have your full expression with love and compassion

There are no good or bad emotions

Yes there are gifts in the stresses

But feel it first as your body always remembers

I HAD A BIG CRY LAST WEEK

You see the version of me building. Growing. Holding spaces. Creating a life I’m proud of

But the other night I sat on the kitchen floor and cried

The kids wouldn’t settle. My nervous system was stretched thin

A friend walked in, saw me and cleaned my kitchen for me

Washed the dishes. They saw me without me needing to explain

And it hit me…

There’s no one here to fall back on in the everyday moments

No one automatically sharing the mental load. No one noticing the tiny invisible things that are building up

Single motherhood has expanded me in ways I can’t even explain. It’s made me stronger. Softer. More intentional

But there are also really tender moments inside this journey

Moments where I realise just how much I’m carrying while still trying to build, heal, parent, lead, create and thrive

So if you’re a single mum or a mum doing it mostly solo trying to hold it all together while also becoming the next version of yourself…

I see you

Not just in your strength. But in your tenderness 🤍
