Today we attended an event at Parliament House for World Eating Disorders Action Day, hosted by EDFA Eating Disorders Families Australia (EDFA).

The event brought together advocates, Carers, and community leaders to raise awareness of eating disorders and the impact they have on individuals, families, and Carers.

Thank you to EDFA for hosting this important event and for continuing to champion awareness and support for those impacted by eating disorders.

Last week Carers SA joined Carers and advocacy organisations from across Australia at Parliament House in Canberra to ensure Carers voices were heard where decisions are made.

Carers shared their experiences directly with MPs and Senators, highlighting the realities of balancing paid work with caring responsibilities and the impact policy decisions have on everyday life.
From managing finances and family commitments to maintaining employment while caring for someone, Carers spoke about both the challenges they face and the supports that make a real difference.

Thank you to the Carers who generously shared their lived experience, particularly Jade from Carers SA, and helped bring the voices of Carers into these important national conversations.
