💙 National Carers Week is coming!

From 11–17 October 2026, we’ll be celebrating Carers across South Australia and recognising the incredible contribution Carers make every day.

This year’s theme, Care for a Carer, reminds us that Carers are everywhere. Carers are in our families, workplaces and communities.

The Carers SA team will be at the Dementia Awareness Forum: Stronger Together – Let’s Talk Dementia and Brain Health at Victa Cinema this September as part of Dementia Action Week.

If you’re caring for a family member or friend living with dementia, come along to learn more about dementia and brain health, connect with local services and discover the support available to you as a Carer.

Stop by the Carers SA stand and have a chat with our team about the free support and services available to Carers.

Our team will be at this event during Welcoming Week hosted by City Of Charles Sturt.

Welcoming Week is an annual campaign and celebration to showcase the movement of communities striving to be more welcoming places for all, including First Nations communities, migrants, refugees, people seeking asylum, receiving communities and international students.

The National Register brings together people from across Australia with diverse experiences of palliative care, ensuring consumer and carer perspectives can contribute to conversations about palliative care in Australia.
