That one person who’s always late — and somehow makes YOU feel bad for bringing it up. 🕐

Here’s what Ayurveda and Vedic astrology say about it —

The lateness is Vata. Scattered energy, no grounding, no routine. Time literally slips away from them. It’s not always intentional — but the people around them absorb all that stress and chaos silently.

The explosion when called out is Pitta and Mars running the show — fire, ego, defensiveness. And here’s the thing — that anger is actually the confession. It means they know. But admitting it feels worse than attacking you.
Saturn — the planet of time and karma — doesn’t forget any of it. Slowly, quietly, a person who doesn’t respect others’ time finds their own life getting stuck. Delayed. Blocked. Not punishment. Just energy returned.

The fix —

🌅 If you’re the late one:
Start with a morning routine. Wake same time. One glass of water. Five minutes of stillness before your phone. That’s it to begin. Vata needs an anchor or the whole day just spins. DM me “ROUTINE” and I’ll send you a simple Vata morning routine to start with.
🔥 If you’re the angry one:
Before you respond — breathe. Literally. Three deep breaths. That pause is where your maturity lives. You can hear feedback AND still be okay. Practice that.

⚖️ If you’re both:
Routine first. Always. It grounds the Vata AND softens the Pitta. Two problems, one habit.

⏳ If you’re always waiting:
Say it once. Kindly but clearly. “When you’re late it affects me.” Then hold that boundary every single time without guilt.

🧠 The Fire: Your internal digestive fire (Agni) is at its absolute strongest right now because your body locks heat into your core to stay warm.

👅 Your tongue may be revealing more about your health than you think.

In Ayurveda, Jihva Pariksha (tongue examination) is a traditional assessment tool used to understand digestion, metabolism, toxin accumulation (Ama), and doshic imbalances.

A healthy tongue is generally pink, moist, and free from thick coating.

Some common signs:

✨ White coating → Sluggish digestion & Ama accumulation

🔥 Yellow coating → Excess heat or Pitta imbalance

💨 Dry or cracked tongue → Vata aggravation, stress, or dehydration

🌊 Teeth marks on edges → weak digestion

❤️ Red tongue → Excess Pitta or inflammation

Your tongue is often one of the first places the body shows signs of imbalance.

Try checking your tongue each morning before brushing your teeth. It takes less than a minute and may offer valuable insights into your overall wellbeing.

A heartfelt thank you to YogaDayGlobal for the opportunity to share the wisdom of Ayurveda with such an inspiring community of yoga teachers, practitioners, and wellness enthusiasts.

During our session, we briefly explored some of Ayurveda’s most fundamental concepts, including the importance of Agni, the formation of Ama, the influence of our natural circadian rhythms, and the Ayurvedic principle that balance is often restored through opposites.

Most importantly, we discussed how simple daily routines can have a profound impact on our health, energy, digestion, sleep, and overall wellbeing. Ayurveda teaches us that lasting wellness is not found in quick fixes, but in the small, consistent habits we practice every day.

It was wonderful to see so much curiosity, engagement, and openness to integrating these timeless principles into modern life.
