The purpose of shame was once to motivate us to live by our values and those of the tribe . Belonging meant safety . We don’t need shame , but we do need guilt , to motivate us to change and repair .
Shame leaves us stuck and shutdown . It says I AM a mistake . Guilt says I made a mistake . Know the difference and learn how to move on . 🧡❤️

Remember , you may feel this way now , but thoughts aren’t necessarily facts . How resilient are you ? Well think about what you’ve been through , and you are STILL here ! 😉

What brings you to where you are right now ? Do you believe in destiny , fate ? Or is life a random series of events that have no purpose or significance or structure. Whatever you believe, there does come a critical or important moment in your life trajectory where you know you are at a junction . I know I need change but I don’t know what that looks like , but I know it in my gut . That is the time to lean into counselling . Find someone who can move with you to spark new insights and new self growth and change your life for the best .
