Grief has no timeline.

Loss changes us, and healing isn't linear. Some days may feel manageable, while others bring waves of sadness when you least expect them.

If grief feels overwhelming or is making it difficult to cope with everyday life, seeking support can be an important step toward healing.

There isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. The number of sessions and how often you attend will depend on your individual needs and circumstances.

Some people benefit from weekly sessions while others may attend every 2–3 weeks, while some choose monthly appointments as a way to maintain their wellbeing and check in with their clinician.

Your clinician will work with you to develop a treatment plan that's tailored to your needs. If you're unsure how often you should attend, discuss with your clinician and they can recommend a schedule that best supports your mental health.

Welcome Dr. Dipti McGowan! Dr. McGowan is a clinical psychologist who sees children from age 4+ and works Fridays at our Shailer Park clinic.

Most of her work is with people who have been through trauma β€” experiences that still feel raw, or that intrude on everyday life long after the event itself is over. Dr. McGowan's focus is on helping you recover from them, often using EMDR alongside other evidence-based approaches.

You can book in to see Dr. McGowan here https://www.halaxy.com/book/appointment/dr-dipti-mcgowan/psychologist/341416/1336061

🚨 Stress doesn't always look like feeling overwhelmed.

Sometimes it shows up as:
β€’ Constant fatigue

β€’ Feeling anxious or on edge

When stress becomes chronic, it can affect both your mental and physical health. Paying attention to these signs is an important step toward taking care of yourself.
