Saturday 25th April 2026 - ANZAC Day.
Today, we pause to honour the courage, sacrifice, and spirit of all those who have served and continue to serve our country. On ANZAC Day, we remember the bravery of the men and women who gave so much in the name of service, mateship, and freedom. Their legacy lives on in the values we hold and the communities we build together.
At APMHA, we pay our respects to all veterans and their families, and we reflect with gratitude on the freedoms we enjoy today because of them.

World Infant, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Day, April 23rd 2026.
The theme "Developing Emotional Safety and Preventing Su***de in a Post-Pandemic World" emphasises the critical importance of establishing an emotionally secure environment within communities where infants, children, and adolescents feel supported, heard, and protected.
The logo is titled “Mind the Heart for the World” and is drawn by Daniel Fung and Wesley Tay.

SUPPORTING HEALTHY AGEING IN PRIMARY CARE
Depression is not a normal part of ageing, yet it affects nearly 50% of residents in aged care. A webinar is available to access "Diagnostic Challenges and Management of Depression in Older Adults".
Participants will learn to differentiate between depression, delirium, and dementia using clinical history and evidence-based screening tools, explore management strategies, include 'start low, go slow' prescribing principles, bio-psycho-social care planning, and when to refer to specialist services. The webinar concludes with an interactive Q&A session to discuss specific clinical challenges.
