Shepparton Hospital tours are happening now! To celebrate our 150th anniversary, community members are invited to step inside and see how our facilities have grown, changed and evolved over the decades. To book a tour at Shepparton Hospital today or tomorrow, visit https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1580984, or just turn up at the main entrance of the Hospital on Graham Street until 2pm today, or 11am-1pm tomorrow. Tours leave on the hour and run for approximately 40 minutes, with complimentary tea and coffee available afterwards.

Also this weekend, tours are running at the Historical Society of Mooroopna, where you can explore an incredible collection of items and displays showcasing the rich history of the hospital and the district. The Historical Society of Mooroopna is located at 30 Park St, Mooroopna (the site of the original hospital) and is open 11am-2pm today and 11am-1pm tomorrow. No booking required.

• Current demand (Normal to Extremely Busy)
• Longest expected wait time
• Patients waiting to be seen
• Patients currently being treated

A wonderful moment in our 150th anniversary celebrations! Yesterday we officially launched 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘚𝘦𝘳𝘷𝘦, a commemorative book honouring GV Health’s rich history. 📖✨

Filled with stories, photos and milestones, the book will be available to purchase from Monday 15 June at Shepparton Hospital, the Historical Society of Mooroopna and the Shepparton Heritage Centre Museum.

Yesterday GV Health oncology staff acknowledged Bowel Cancer Awareness Month by dressing in red and green.

Bowel cancer claims the lives of 103 Australians every week (5,372 people a year) – but it’s one of the most treatable types of cancer when detected early. While the risk of bowel cancer increases significantly with age, the disease doesn’t discriminate, affecting people of all ages.

We are so grateful for this support from the GV Health Foundation and the whole community. ❤️

This week the GV Health Foundation is delighted to have launched the ‘I Care for Cancer Care’ fundraising appeal, a major community effort to help build a much needed Integrated Cancer Centre for the Goulburn Valley.

Victoria has six designated regional public health services, yet GV Health is the only one without an Integrated Cancer Centre. At the same time, demand for cancer care is rapidly rising. In just four years, treatments delivered at GV Health’s Oncology Unit have increased by 54%, from 10,679 to 16,476. GV Health’s current facilities simply weren’t designed for this level of demand or the long term, ongoing nature of modern cancer care.

A fully integrated centre would bring cancer care together under one roof, reducing travel for patients and ensuring they can access world class care close to home. While the Australian Government has committed $30M for Stage 1, the $90M required for Stage 2 has not been secured.

With community support, the Foundation is aiming to raise $5 million. The appeal is already off to an impressive start thanks to a generous $1 million donation from the Copulos Family Foundation.

Now we need you! We’re calling on individuals, businesses and community groups to say “I Care for Cancer Care” and help bring first class cancer care to the Goulburn Valley.

GV Health’s Emergency Department (ED) is experiencing high demand, resulting in lengthy wait times for patients with non-urgent matters.

We ask that community members only come to the Emergency Department for conditions that are urgent or life-threatening.

The Shepparton Medicare Urgent Care Clinic (UCC) provides urgent care for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. The UCC is located at 49 Graham Street. For more information, including operating hours visit https://shepmed.mthc.com.au/mucc/
