Showing up for yourself rarely looks perfect.
Most of the time it’s the small, repeated choices:

* having a moment to refresh
* regular exercise classes
* moving your body in nature
* resting before you hit empty

Small things count. These are some of the simple ways I’ve shown up for myself in the last few months.

Small steps still count. Not every change needs to be dramatic, perfect, or all figured out before you begin.

Sometimes progress looks like:• sending the email• taking the break• setting the boundary• trying again without overthinking it

Clinical excellence doesn’t come from unrelenting pressure. It comes from consistency, flexibility, and doing the next doable step.

A little reminder from me at Eurovision (well in 2024).

Some goals aren’t about achievement or productivity.
Some are just about joy, fun, connection, and actually experiencing life.

This was on my bucket list for a long time and I’m really glad I stopped waiting for the “perfect” time and just did it. Watching now reminded me of just how much fun I had.

A good reminder that life isn’t only about working hard and getting through the to-do list. Sometimes it’s about singing badly, making memories, and doing something that makes you feel alive.

Perfectionism in clinicians often hides behinds words like
- Thorough
- Conscientious
- Dedicated
- Responsible.

Often times those strengths are real. Sometimes they’re fear in professional clothing. The hard thing about perfectionism is that there are lots of positive reinforcements for this behaviour. Does this sound like you?

Connection plays an important role in our wellbeing, but it’s something lots of folks struggle with at times.

In a fast-paced, digital world, it’s easy for connection to feel harder than it used to.

This is a reminder that connection doesn’t have to be big or perfect, small, consistent moments can matter.

If this resonates, you’re not alone.

Self-advocacy doesn’t have to be a big, brave moment. Sometimes it’s:
- Sending that email
- Asking a question
- Saying “no” without over-explaining
- Taking a pause before responding

Small steps can build over time.
At Reframe we’re here to support that process, wherever you’re starting from.
