Providing Speech Pathology and DIR Floortime Intervention

Smithfield Speech Pathology is the vision of Dorothy – Speech Pathologist - to help parents/carers engage and interact with their children. Dorothy has been providing speech pathology services for over 18 years both in private practice and community health. She has a special interest in helping families with children with delayed communication skills either due to developmental disabilities such

as Autism Spectrum Disorder or children who are ‘late talkers’. She has received training in various early intervention programmes including DIR Floortime through the Interdisciplinary Council of Development and Learning (ICDL) in the United States of America. Dorothy enjoys working and supporting families to establish goals around their children’s and family’s needs whilst keeping in mind the child’s unique profile.
