Some milestones deserve more than a passing mention.

Today, we pause to celebrate someone whose impact on Senami cannot be measured simply by the number of years she has served, but by the countless lives she has touched along the way.

Today marks five wonderful years of Guraman Sandhu being part of the Senami family.

Over the past five years, Aman has consistently embodied integrity, dedication and an unwavering commitment to excellence. She has worked quietly behind the scenes, ensuring her colleagues have the support, guidance and tools they need to succeed. Her contribution has never been about recognitionโ€”it has always been about people.

Aman, you are so much more than your role. Through your kindness, strength, professionalism and genuine care for others, you have contributed to creating the culture that makes Senami what it is today. You have made people feel welcomed, valued and confident to bring their best selves to work every day.
Your loyalty, consistency and passion have never gone unnoticed. They have inspired those around you and helped shape the organisation we continue to grow together.

Today, we simply want to say thank you.
Thank you for believing in Senami Disability and Mental Health Services vision.
Thank you for believing in Senami people.
Thank you for five years of unwavering commitment, laughter, resilience and heart.

Congratulations on this incredible milestone, Aman. We are truly grateful you are part of our team and proud to celebrate this special moment with you.

Here's to many more years of making a difference together.
Happy 5-Year Anniversary, Aman!

This NAIDOC Week, we celebrate 50 Years of Deadly โ€” a significant milestone recognising five decades of honouring Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, histories, achievements and ongoing contributions.

For 50 years, NAIDOC has provided a platform to celebrate strength, resilience, identity and community. It acknowledges the Elders, leaders, artists, activists and communities who have continued to preserve culture, share stories and create positive change across generations.

As an NDIS provider, Senami recognises the importance of culturally safe and inclusive supports that respect the unique identities, experiences, cultural connections and aspirations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability. We are committed to listening, learning and working alongside the communities we support to promote dignity, choice and inclusion.

This NAIDOC Week, we honour the past, celebrate the present and recognise the ongoing strength and leadership of First Nations communities.

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we live and work and pay our respects to Elders past and present.

At Senami, we're committed to continuous learning because we know that ongoing professional development leads to better outcomes for the people we support.

Recently, our team completed Team Teach training, building their knowledge and practical skills to support individuals safely, respectfully and with confidence.

The training explored much more than managing challenging situations. It focused on understanding behaviour as communication, recognising the importance of empathy and effective communication, and developing strategies to prevent and de-escalate situations before they escalate.

Through practical activities and real-life scenarios, our team strengthened their ability to respond in ways that prioritise safety, dignity and positive outcomes for everyone involved.
At Senami, we believe great support starts with knowledgeable, compassionate people who are committed to learning and growing. By investing in our team, we're continuing to deliver high-quality, person-centred support that empowers people to live the lives they choose.
We're proud of our team's dedication to learning, reflecting and continuously improving the support they provide every day.

Thanks to our team leaders and our practice manager Nike for participating in the training. Thanks to our PBS therapist Brayden and Sukaina for delivering the course.
