Nervous System Dysregulation, ADHD and Histamine
If there is an immune system issue you are also guaranteed to have a nervous system issue. The too are very closely interlinked.
Our bodies are designed to fight said issues causing heighten states which now often get labeled as a diagnosis without thorough investigation.
The spike in ADHD has gone through the roof and when you google nervous system dysfunction you are looking in the mirror at ADHD
This corolation is not unfamiliar to me in clinic. As the numbers rise I often find myself balancing the immune system, histamine overload and insufficient DAO enzyme being produced.
Diamine oxidase (DAO) is a copper-containing enzyme produced primarily in the intestinal mucosa, kidneys, and thymus that serves as the body’s main mechanism for breaking down excess histamine. When DAO activity is insufficient, histamine accumulates in the bloodstream, leading to histamine intolerance (HIT)
