IT'S AGED CARE EMPLOYEE DAY!
Today we celebrate all our dedicated team members who make Three Tree Lodge such a special place to live and work.

To every member of our team – thank you for your care, kindness and commitment.

Today we were delighted to have the coffee van on hand to provide the beverages, cookies to go with the coffee along with gifts of handmade notebooks and pens from our residents to thank all of our staff for their kindness throughout the year - plus plenty of photos of dress-up moments (we have lots of those 😂).

We are delighted to regularly receive the stories from our residents and their families how about our staff go beyond the call to provide support to our residents and their families - please join us in recognising our amazing aged care superheroes.

HONOURING OUR CHAIRMAN - GARRY BROWN
Our official opening on Tuesday of the new extensions to Three Tree Lodge was not just a chance to share these new facilities, it was a special moment to honour the work of our Board Chairman Garry Brown.

Garry is an active and well known member of our local community and has been a Board member of Three Tree Lodge since 2006. He has never just played a leadership role, he can often be seen at Three Tree Lodge assisting with maintenance or chatting with our residents.

Garry became Chairman of the Board in 2011 and alongside our CEO Kate Hurrell has led our organisation through massive growth and development - bringing a range of additional accommodation and support options for people living in the Lithgow area. His goal has always been to see Three Tree Lodge as the leading provider of aged care in the central west.

To honour Garry's work in his twentieth year as a director, it was resolved to name the garden outside Wattle House in honour of his years of hard work. It will hereafter be known as "Garry's Garden.

It was fitting that this award was presented to Garry by Tim Le Fevre, involved as a founding director of Three Tree Lodge since 1997, when the organisation existed as an incorporated association and the aged care facilities and hospital were yet to be commissioned.

Both Garry and Tim, along with the other committed directors - volunteers all - of Three Tree Lodge have much to be proud of today!

WATTLE HOUSE EXTENSION & MELALEUCA COTTAGE OFFICIALLY OPEN
It was our great joy yesterday to share the newly completed extensions to Three Tree Lodge with our community.

Officially opened by the Hon Andrew Gee MP and joined by Paul Toole MP MP, Lithgow Mayor Cass Coleman, Department representatives, our build team from Glenstone Constructions, our staff, residents and their families - it was a wonderful day.

Our CEO Kate Hurrell and Board of Directors are very proud of these new additions to Three Tree Lodge, which will add a range of new options for older people living in Lithgow.

Wattle House provides a range of accommodation options, including shared rooms for couples, siblings or friends or the choice of suite accommodation. Melaleuca Cottage provides flexible options including respite care and is the ideal transition into full time care or for those who might benefit from a small cottage environment with specialist support.

These extensions have been made possible by Aged Care Capital Grants through the Department of Health, Ageing and Disability and we are grateful for their ongoing support.

Thanks to everyone who played a part in delivering these beautiful new facilities for our community.

The room is set, the sun is shining, the flowers are glorious and we’re getting ready to welcome special guests to officially open not one, but two extensions to Three Tree Lodge.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
From all at Three Tree Lodge to all of you - we wish you a Happy Mother's Day. To those celebrating with mum or remembering our mothers who are sadly no longer with us, we wish you a day of joy and happy memories.

This week, our residents enjoyed a Mother's Day High Tea ahead of the big day - a lovely festive event for all our residents with loads of sweet treats from the Three Tree Lodge kitchen 🧁🍰 yum!

To those working today - especially our hard working staff - we hope you have the chance to celebrate with your families and thank you for the care and support you provide to our residents today and every day.

HAPPY EASTER FROM THREE TREE LODGE

POSITION VACANT - ASSISTANT CATERING OFFICER
Three Tree Lodge is looking for an Assistant Catering Officer to join our expanding catering team in a part time role.

Working Monday - Wednesday each week you'll play a key role in a busy kitchen. This role would be perfect for someone who has experience and qualifications in commercial cookery and a passion for delivering excellence in service for older people in our community.
