Community Story: Ed 🚴

Around five years ago, Ed discovered frame running while living in Scotland. Soon after, COVID-19 brought training to a halt, making it impossible for him to get to the track.

Despite this challenge, Ed didn’t give up. His dad brought the running frame home so he could continue training and stay active throughout the pandemic.

Last year, Ed moved to Australia and has continued pursuing his passion for frame running. For Ed, frame running provides an opportunity to be physically active in a way that works for him. Although walking can be difficult, frame running allows him to experience the joy and freedom of running.

Ed says frame running puts a huge grin on his face from ear to ear because he can run.😁

The conversation continues this August.

Following our March DAWA Summit, we’re coming together again for the August DAWA Commitments Summit — this time focusing on the nine key findings and, most importantly, what happens next.

We want parents, carers, families and people with disability in the room to help shape the commitments that come from these findings.

And you don’t need to have attended the March Summit to come along! Your experience and perspective still matter, and we’d love to hear from you.

📅 Friday 21 August
⏰ 9am–1:30pm
📍 Advocacy WA, Bunbury
🎟️ FREE to attend | RSVP to [email protected] or 08 9721 6444

Come be part of the conversation and help turn what we heard in March into action.

Once you RSVP, we’ll send you the full Summit program so you know what to expect on the day.
