Could Myotherapy be what your body needs?

Myotherapy can help support people experiencing muscle tension, stiffness, soreness or discomfort thatโ€™s getting in the way of everyday movement.

Using a combination of hands-on techniques and movement-based care, Myotherapy focuses on helping you move more comfortably and manage those stubborn areas that keep bothering you.

You can see our amazing Myotherapist, Alex Moloney, at both our Lara and South Geelong clinics.

Elite athletes know the body works as one connected system. That's how we approach treatment too.

As the Commonwealth Games get underway, we'll see athletes performing at an incredible level. But behind every performance is an understanding that the body doesn't work in isolation. A restriction in one area can influence movement somewhere else.

The same applies in everyday life. Pain isn't always caused by the area that hurts. Sometimes a sore knee is influenced by the hip, recurring neck tension is linked to the upper back, or lower back pain starts with the way your feet move.

That's why we take a whole-body approach. By looking at how you move as a connected system, we can better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms.

๐Ÿ“ž If you're dealing with ongoing aches or pains, reach out to us at Kardinia Osteopathic Clinic on (03) 5221 1877 or book online at kardiniaclinic.com.au.

Did you know your feet can affect your lower back pain? Here's how alignment travels up the chain...

Your feet are the foundation of how you move. If they aren't absorbing load or moving as well as they should, your ankles, knees, hips and lower back may have to compensate.

Over time, these compensations can place extra stress on other areas of the body, sometimes leading to discomfort well away from where the problem started.

That's why we don't just look at where it hurts. We assess how your whole body is moving to help identify what may be contributing to your symptoms.

๐Ÿ“ž If you're experiencing ongoing lower back pain, reach out to us at **Kardinia Osteopathic Clinic** on **(03) 5221 1877** or book online at **kardiniaclinic.com.au**.

Feeling the cold this winter?

Cold weather can leave our muscles and joints feeling a little stiffer than usual. A few minutes of gentle movement throughout the day can help keep your body feeling warm and mobile.

Try these simple winter tips:
โ€ข Roll your shoulders backwards 10 times.
โ€ข Gently turn your head from side to side.
โ€ข Stand up and stretch your legs every hour if you've been sitting.
โ€ข Take a short walk to get your blood flowing.

A little movement goes a long way, especially during the colder months. Stay warm and keep moving! ๐ŸŒฟ
