✨Pregnancy Massage✨

When you’re stressed, your baby feels it too — cortisol crosses the placenta, right along with every calming breath you take. Pregnancy massage isn’t just a treat, it’s one of the simplest ways to switch your body from “fight or flight” into “rest and digest” — and bring your baby along for the ride.

In that state of calm, beautiful things happen:
→ Cortisol drops, oxytocin rises — the same hormone that helps you bond and breastfeed
→ Your baby’s heart rate settles in response to yours
→ Digestion improves, sleep deepens, tension releases
→ You practise the art of slowing down — a skill you’ll lean on again in labour and those first weeks postpartum

It’s not about escaping your pregnancy for an hour. It’s about teaching your body — and your baby — what safe and calm feels like, together.

That’s the work we do here at Sabuk Wellness. 🌸

✨Something beautiful has been happening this last month. ✨

I keep meeting women who are ready to come home to their feminine — women who’ve been living so long in doing, in pushing, in holding everything together, that they’ve quietly forgotten how it feels to simply receive.

Womb Hara Massage is an invitation back into softness. Back into your body. Back into the part of you that doesn’t need to earn rest or keep proving how capable you are — she just needs to be met with gentleness.

If you’ve been feeling far from yourself lately, further from your softness than you’d like… I see you. And I’d love to hold space for you to come home.

The First 40 Days: Why Postpartum Care & Massage Matter

In many traditional cultures, the first 40 days after birth are considered a sacred window of healing, rest, and recovery. While so much attention is placed on pregnancy and birth, the postpartum period is often when a mother needs the most support.

✨ Benefits of Postpartum Massage During the First 40 Days:

🤍Supports the body’s natural healing after birth

🤍Encourages deep relaxation and nervous system regulation

🤍Helps ease muscle tension from labour, feeding, carrying, and caring for baby

🤍Improves circulation and lymphatic flow, supporting recovery

🤍Assists with reducing swelling and fluid retention

🤍Promotes better sleep and rest when opportunities arise

🤍Creates space to process the birth experience emotionally

🤍Supports connection between mother and baby through a calmer, more regulated nervous system

🤍Encourages mothers to slow down, receive care, and replenish their energy reserves

The first 40 days are not about “bouncing back.” They are about slowing down, nourishing yourself, receiving support, and allowing your body the time it needs to heal and integrate the profound transformation of becoming a mother.

When a mother is cared for, she is better able to care for her baby.

At Sabuk Wellness, postpartum massage offers a nurturing space for mothers to rest, be held, and reconnect with themselves during this precious season of matrescence.

✨ Rest is productive. Healing is important. You deserve to be cared for too.

✨Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy for Postpartum Care ✨

The postpartum period is a time of immense change. As a mother navigates the physical recovery from birth, hormonal shifts, sleep deprivation, and the emotional transition into motherhood, her nervous system is often working overtime.

🫶Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) offers a gentle and nurturing space for the body to slow down, rest, and reconnect with its innate capacity for healing.

Using a light, non-invasive touch, BCST works with the subtle rhythms of the body, cerebrospinal fluid, and nervous system to support balance and regulation.

✨ Benefits of BCST during the postpartum period may include:

🤍 Supporting nervous system regulation and helping the body move from “survival mode” into a state of rest and repair

🤍 Assisting recovery following a long, difficult, or traumatic birth experience

🤍 Helping release tension held within the body after pregnancy and labour

🤍 Supporting emotional wellbeing and creating space for unprocessed feelings surrounding birth and motherhood

🤍 Encouraging deep relaxation and improved quality of rest

🤍 Supporting hormonal balance and overall postpartum recovery

🤍 Helping mothers feel more grounded, present, and connected to themselves and their baby

🤍 Providing a safe space to simply pause, breathe, and receive care

The beauty of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is that it doesn’t force change. Instead, it gently supports the body’s inherent wisdom and natural healing processes, meeting each mother exactly where she is.

The first 40 days postpartum are a sacred window of healing. When mothers are supported, nourished, and given the opportunity to rest and regulate, the effects can ripple through the entire family.

✨ Because postpartum care isn’t just about recovering from birth — it’s about supporting the whole journey of becoming.

• ~ •Closing of the Bones Ceremony • ~ •

In many traditional cultures, birth was never seen as something a woman simply “got over.” It was recognised as a profound rite of passage — physically, emotionally, spiritually, and energetically.

The Closing of the Bones Ceremony is a beautiful postpartum ritual that honours a mother’s journey through pregnancy, birth, and matrescence.

Using gentle bodywork, warmth, nurturing touch, and traditional wrapping techniques, the ceremony invites a mother to slow down, be held, and return to herself after giving so much of herself to her baby.

✨ Benefits of a Closing of the Bones Ceremony may include:

🤍 Acknowledging and honouring your birth journey

🤍 Supporting emotional integration and processing

🤍 Creating a sense of grounding and containment

🤍 Encouraging deep relaxation and nervous system regulation

🤍 Helping mothers reconnect with their bodies after birth

🤍 Offering space to release what no longer needs to be carried

🤍 Marking the transition from pregnancy and birth into motherhood

🤍 Providing a deeply nurturing experience where the mother is cared for

🤍Mothers that have experienced loss and are moving through grief

The ceremony is not about “fixing” anything. It is about witnessing, honouring, and supporting a woman as she moves through one of life’s most transformative experiences.

Whether your birth was recent or many years ago, Closing of the Bones can be a powerful reminder that your story matters, your experiences matter, and you deserve to be held too.

🌸 A ceremony of honouring. A ceremony of healing. A ceremony of coming home to yourself.

With love,

Mel

🫶 Pregnancy Massage 🫶

Pregnancy is a beautiful journey, but it can also place significant physical and emotional demands on the body.

Pregnancy massage is a gentle, nurturing treatment designed specifically for the changing needs of expectant mothers. It provides a safe space to slow down, reconnect with your body, and support both you and your growing baby.

✨Benefits of Pregnancy Massage:
• Relieves lower back, hip and pelvic discomfort
• Eases muscle tension and pregnancy-related aches and pains
• Reduces swelling in the hands, feet and legs
• Supports healthy circulation and lymphatic flow
• Encourages deeper, more restful sleep
• Helps reduce stress, anxiety and overwhelm
• Promotes nervous system regulation and relaxation
• Creates space to connect with your baby before birth
• Supports emotional wellbeing throughout pregnancy

When the body feels safe and supported, the nervous system can shift from “doing” into “being” — allowing both mother and baby to rest, restore and replenish.

Pregnancy massage isn’t simply a luxury; it’s an investment in your wellbeing during one of life’s most transformative seasons.

🤍 Take time to nurture yourself, because a supported mother creates the foundation for a supported baby.

What is Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy?

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, non-invasive hands-on therapy that supports your body's natural ability to heal, regulate, and find balance.

Using a light touch, I tune into the subtle rhythms within the body, including the movement of cerebrospinal fluid, the nervous system, and the body's innate life force. Rather than focusing on symptoms alone, this work honours the whole person—physical, emotional, and energetic.

When the body feels safe, it can begin to shift out of stress, tension, and survival patterns, allowing the nervous system to move towards rest, repair, and restoration. This often creates space for unresolved experiences, emotions, and patterns held within the body to gently unwind.

Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy can support:
🤍 Pregnancy and postpartum
🤍 Birth preparation and birth recovery
🤍 Stress, anxiety, and overwhelm
🤍 Chronic pain and tension
🤍 Birth trauma
🤍 Babies and children
🤍 ADHD, Autism, and nervous system dysregulation
🤍 Emotional well-being and resilience

I often describe this work as creating the conditions for the body to remember its own health. When the nervous system finds safety and regulation, there can be a profound sense of ease, connection, and freedom—both emotionally and physically.

Your body knows how to heal. Sometimes it simply needs the space, support, and stillness to do so.
