🧠 BRAIN INJURY AWARENESS WEEK 2026
Brain injuries can happen to anyone — and they aren't always immediately obvious.
A concussion, fall, sporting injury, motor vehicle accident or other trauma can have lasting effects on how someone thinks, feels and functions.
Symptoms can include:
🧠 Headaches or dizziness
😴 Changes in sleep
💭 Difficulty concentrating or remembering
😟 Changes in mood or behaviour
👀 Sensitivity to light or noise
⚡ Fatigue or reduced energy
It's important not to dismiss ongoing symptoms, even if an injury initially seemed minor.
If you or someone you care about has experienced a head injury and you're concerned about ongoing symptoms, speak with your GP for appropriate assessment and advice.
This Brain Injury Awareness Week, let's recognise that not all injuries are visible.
