On Jeans for Genes Australia Day, 👖🧬 the QPAH team celebrated the incredible work of the Children’s Medical Research Institute and the life‑changing breakthroughs made possible through community support.

For every person who arrived at QPAH wearing denim, we donated $10 to Jeans for Genes.

Every donation helps fund vital research that gives children living with genetic conditions a brighter future.

We were so privileged to fill the clinic with hope, heart... and denim!👖🧬

🎉 Celebrating Skye
Today we’re sending the biggest happy birthday to our beloved Speech Pathologist, Skye. It’s been such a joy having her back in the clinic and we’re so glad the team could celebrate an early birthday with her before she heads off again. Skye is now travelling safely back to Japan, where she’ll continue working remotely with QPAH for the next few months. We already miss her bright energy and can’t wait to welcome her home when she returns.

We’re delighted to welcome Sydnie to QPAH as she completes her final‑year Master of Speech Pathology placement with us. Sydnie is studying at Griffith University and will be supervised by our Clinical Lead Speech Pathologist, Anna, over the coming weeks.

Placement experiences are an important part of shaping confident, capable and compassionate clinicians. At QPAH, we’re proud to support emerging therapists as they build their skills, learn within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to high‑quality, evidence‑based care.

Welcome, Sydnie - we’re excited to support you as you take this next step in your professional journey.

Our team is always learning together. Today our speech, music and occupational therapists came together for peer supervision, sharing insights across modalities and strengthening the way we support our clients.

Collaborative practice is at the heart of QPAH. When our therapists learn from one another, everyone benefits - especially the families and communities we serve.

It’s been so wonderful having our Speech Pathologist, Skye, back in Australia – and in our clinic – for the past three weeks. Her energy, dry humour, kindness and joy have been such a gift to our team and our clients.

Skye returns to Japan shortly, where she has been working remotely with QPAH since the beginning of the year - and we’re already looking forward to her next visit. We will miss you, Skye!

A reminder that we offer telehealth appointments with Skye for clients of all ages, from any location in Australia.

We’re excited to welcome Sophie to QPAH as she completes her final Occupational Therapy placement with us. Sophie is in her final year of studying a Bachelor of OT at Griffith University and is being supervised by QPAH OT, Taylor over the next few weeks, so you may spot her around the clinic getting hands‑on experience and learning from our team.

Supporting the next generation of therapists is something we value deeply at QPAH. It strengthens our profession, enriches our services and helps build a future where inclusive, evidence‑based care continues to thrive.

🎶 Music for Healthy Ageing at The Pavillion

Our Director and Principal Registered Music Therapist, Monica, has been busy running a beautiful "Music for Healthy Ageing" music therapy group at The Pavilion North Kirra . This program supports connection, confidence and wellbeing through evidence‑based music therapy, and the smiles in the room say it all.

It’s a lovely reminder that music therapy isn’t just for little ones - QPAH proudly offers allied health services across the lifespan. If you, your clients or someone you care about could benefit from supportive, meaningful engagement through music, speech or occupational therapy, we’d love to hear from you.

🎉 Celebrating Tayla’s Work Anniversary!

Today we’re celebrating our wonderful Allied Health Assistant (Occupational Therapy), Tayla - or as the team lovingly calls her, "TayTay".

Her warmth, curiosity and steady commitment to supporting children and families make such a difference in our everyday practice. TayTay brings heart to every session and joy to every team moment, and we’re so grateful for the way she shows up for QPAH.

Happy work anniversary to the original TayTay! We’re lucky to have you. 🌟

🐾 A special visitor at QPAH...

Following this little legend's OT session exploring new foods, his furry family member, Baci popped in to say hello to the QPAH team - and absolutely stole the show!

Moments like these remind us how much joy, comfort and confidence our pets can bring - especially when children are trying something new. The session was wrapped up with big smiles all around, a brave taste test and a wagging tail cheering him on.

We love seeing families, big and small, supporting their little learners.
