Formerly Home Instead Australia, Dovida provides high-quality, person-centred home care to the Gold Coast community. Dovida creates a Circle of Care that places individuals at the centre of a holistic support system, uniting families, our skilled caregivers, our support teams, and the wider healthcare community. We provide a range of services including everyday companionship, domestic assistance,

persona, care, meal preparation, medication reminders, and transport to appointments, shopping and social outings. Care is available up to 24hrs a day and ranges from light housekeeping to dementia care and palliative care.

🎂 Happy 95th Birthday Jack 🎂

Our lovely Jack celebrated his 95th birthday yesterday and had a lovely surprise visit from Carol who treated Jack to a yummy cake and gift 🎁 We think Jack is looking pretty fabulous at 95!

The Rotary Pride of Workmanship Award recognises those who go above and beyond, not only in their work but through their commitment to their community and the people around them. This award celebrates dedication, integrity and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Carol was recently the recipient of this well-deserved recognition. Carol inspires those around her to demonstrate the power of service and care in action.

Our Team loves nothing more than helping people, and that's exactly what we were doing at the Southport Retirement Living & Senior Lifestyle Expo last Friday!

It was a fantastic day connecting with local seniors, answering questions, sharing information and having some great conversations with members of our community. Thank you to everyone who stopped by - we're proud to support and make a difference in the lives of those we serve ❤️

⭐️ Celebrating our Caregivers ⭐️

Every quarter, we are delighted to bring our Caregivers together for a quarterly meeting which focuses on education, celebration, conversation and collaboration. This quarter, we reviewed Strengthened Aged Care Standard 5 [Clinical Care] supporting our Teams to continue to deliver safe, high-quality care to our clients. Our meetings were filled with learning, laughter and connection - we did a bit of Trivia, we celebrated special achievements with our Caregivers and our Team provided a wonderful, warming soup snack for everyone.

Lunch with friends from Dovida .... ❤️

We received a powerful, beautiful message from one of our Caregivers recently, that we simply have to share ...

Our Caregiver Kate shared that recently, she accompanied her client to a Dovida client lunch. Her client was not keen initially and was not happy when her daughter encouraged her to go. On their way to lunch, Kate assured her client that they could leave early if she was uncomfortable.

As it turns out, Denise had such a lovely time connecting with other clients. It was a small group, and our Activities Coordinator Grace did a fantastic job organising the lunch and welcoming everyone. Kate's client relaxed and on the drive home, commented several times that she was so pleased she went and is hoping to reconnect with the ladies again! 🥰🌹

This heartwarming real-life story highlights how important it is to connect socially and sometimes, stepping outside of your comfort zone and meeting new people really does wonders! Kate said her clients whole vibe was different after her outing! 💗
