Endometriosis affects around 1 in 9 women and getting a clear diagnosis has traditionally meant surgery. Now there's another option.

Deep Endometriosis Ultrasound is now available at The Women's Imaging Centre, performed by sonographers with specialised training in mapping this condition. Using a detailed transvaginal ultrasound, we're able to identify deep infiltrating endometriosis with a high degree of accuracy, helping your GP or gynaecologist plan the right next steps for your care.

If you experience ongoing pelvic pain, painful periods or pain during intimacy, talk to your GP about a referral.

Introducing Contrast Enhanced Mammography (CEM), now available at The Women's Imaging Centre, Southport.

CEM combines a regular mammogram with a small, quick contrast injection that highlights areas of increased blood flow in the breast, giving our radiologists a clearer, more detailed picture. It's especially valuable for women with dense breast tissue, but it's also used for further assessment of a suspicious finding, staging a new diagnosis, or as an alternative to MRI for women at higher risk.

The experience itself is simple: it's done just like a standard mammogram, takes only a little longer, and most patients are back to their day straight after.
