Trying a new game. Asking for help. Giving something another go, even when it didn't work out the first time.

At Ignition Gamers, these moments matter just as much as the scoreboard. Because progress looks different for everyone, and that's worth celebrating.

The plans that changed at the last minute. The homework that tipped them over the edge. The shutdown after a long day at school.

Big emotions turn up all through everyday life. As a parent, it’s hard to know what’s going on underneath them, let alone how to help.

That’s why we created From Gaming Battles to Emotional Breakthroughs, a self paced online course for parents and caregivers.

You’ll learn to understand your young person’s emotional patterns, notice the early warning signs before frustration or anxiety builds, and know what to do when things escalate. Then we show you how to use the games they already love to practise these skills together, so building resilience feels more like connection than correction. 🎮

Every enrolment also comes with a free bonus course made just for your teen, so you’re learning side by side.

$27, instant access, and you can start today.

Nobody gets their way all the time, and that's sort of the point.🤷‍♂️

We've all turned up with different experiences, different opinions, different ideas about how the night should go. Compromise is just how a group of people with different wants ends up in the same room, still having a good time.

It's not about giving in. It's about everyone getting enough of what they came for.

That's a skill you can't really teach from a worksheet. You pick it up by doing it, over and over, with people you actually like being around.

There’s a lot more happening behind the controller than it might look like.

Trying something unfamiliar asks the brain to work in all sorts of ways, and a new game can make those skills surprisingly easy to see.

Swipe through for a look at what’s happening behind the scenes.

🧠 Save this for the next time someone says gaming is “just pressing buttons”.

Six months can hold a lot of little moments.

New connections. New experiences. And sometimes, a parent noticing something they’re really happy to see.

We loved receiving this update from Kathy.

Sometimes support looks like a conversation. Sometimes it looks like simply walking alongside someone.

This Global Peer Support Day, we’re celebrating the value of lived experience, shared understanding and having someone beside you who gets it.

That’s a big part of what peer support means at Ignition Gamers. 💙

🤝 Who’s someone who’s made you feel understood just by being there?

Ever had something to say… and somehow picked the exact wrong second to say it?

There’s a lot more happening in everyday conversation than just finding the right words. Gaming can make some of those tiny social moments easier to see.

👉 Swipe through, then tell us: What’s one skill you’ve noticed gaming bring out in someone?

Sometimes joining in starts before anyone picks up a controller.

A little watching. A little listening. A moment to figure out the room. It can all be part of finding your way in.

👀 Are you a “watch first” or “jump straight in” person?

🎲FACT: You can't play Dungeons and Dragons on your own.

Our Dungeon Master can't run four separate adventures at once, so when someone decides they're climbing out the window instead of using the open door, everyone's got to figure it out together.

That's the best bit. Someone suggests something ridiculous, someone else finds a way to make it work, and the whole group ends up somewhere nobody planned.

Turns out teamwork's a lot more fun when there's a dragon involved.
