I loooove using intradermal needles on patients, especially to remove stubborn wrinkles like 11’s (the lines in between eyebrows). Intradermal needles are inserted into the skin along the wrinkle and they stay in place, until the patient goes home and removes them before bed. This means that if they are inserted at say 4pm, and the patient goes to sleep at 9.30pm, they are working for 5 and a half hours… that’s the equivalent of 11 cosmetic acupuncture sessions! It’s perfect for deep and stubborn lines like 11’s and patients absolutely love them and their effect 💕

Azelaic Acid! One of my hero recommendations in clinic- it’s a stand out product, super affordable, and the only negative about it is that sometimes it can pill, which is an easy issue to fix. So, is it for you? 👉

Azelaic Acid is amazing for patients who have redness and hyperpigmentation and pigmentation that is hard to shift. AA is a tyrosinase inhibitor (like vitamin c, salicylic acid etc) which means it stops your skin from producing more pigmentation marks. What else does it do? 👉

It’s not exactly an exfoliant - it works in a completely different way, but the results are the same: it stops pores from becoming clogged and blocked

AA is so so soothing. It can sometimes be a little itchy for the first minute that it’s on the skin, but patients who are using it for redness will often contact me the following day after just 1 application and say their skin appears so calm and soothed 👉

Because it’s anti inflammatory, and so soothing, it allows patients to tolerate other sometimes harsher products in their skincare routine that are needed 🫰

Azelaic Acid can be used in the morning or evening, alongside any other ingredients. Sometimes some trial and error is needed to find exactly what works for your skin, but overall, there are no rules 💕

Finally: azelaic acid can be used safely during pregnancy, unlike vitamin a, which is just 💕💕💕
