Hey🤓 It's Monday. Wanna feel successful come Friday? Let's play a fun little game:

1️⃣ - Take a screenshot of this video.
2️⃣ - Tell me in the comments which self-care activity you got.
3️⃣ - Go schedule it in! Try it just once, or for the entire week. Either way, make it happen.

♦️BONUS♦️ - Come back here afterward and tell me about it. Why? Because ensures it'll get done.

Remember, whatever your goals are, that self-care can actually help you get there, it’s never a waste of time.

Because when you ‘give back’ to yourself, you can show up with more energy, vitality and pizzazz to do .

Your health is your number 1 asset.

If you're busy, tired, overwhelmed or unmotivated, take the pressure off.

‘Healthy habits' don't have to be grandiose or extreme to be beneficial.

In fact, here at SoleFire it’s quite the opposite because, .

So go ahead, roll the dice (take a screenshot) schedule it in, go forth and have a fabulous week!

A bit of planning and prep can help you achieve your goals in less time and with less effort. Meaning? You’ll have more energy leftover for everything else. 🏆

Because of the habits and systems I have in place, I often find myself saying “thank you Emily of the past" for having my back, when I needed it most. It’s the best feeling. 👊

Where do you get stuck when creating healthy habits? (Prioritization, organization, consistency, etc..) Tell me and I’ll lend my tips below ⬇️

You're 2 weeks into 2021 - how are you going with your goals?📝💥☑️ ... Achieving them from brute force doesn't usually work, does it?

If you could maintain consistent energy, nourishment and focus, your chances would surely be much better, right?

Here's a few things I'm currently doing that are helping in these ways:

1. Nourishing my nervous system - this is important to help regulate cortisol which is in charge of 'a whole lotta stuff' when it comes to your wellbeing - I've been listening to my guided meditations and they make me feel energized and ready for the day. ⚡️ (get them here: https://solefirewellness.com/solefire-chill-sessions)

2. ’s 30 Day Yoga Challenge. I've fallen behind, because you know, , but I'm not letting that deter me and I’m soldiering on.

3. Eating nutrient-rich wholefoods, including breakfast (like this one) that contain healthy fats, complex carbs and whole food protein to give me even, balanced energy throughout the day. 🥕🥑🍓

3.1. (But also) not being perfectionist about it and if takeaway is needed or something basic like toast + toppings for dinner, then seeing that as nourishment (in other ways) too.

4. Remaining cognizant of my inner dialogue and aiming to always be kind to myself (and others, because there's often more going on than we know). 🙂

5. Setting boundaries around media consumption, to balance being informed and engaged with current events, and protecting my general sense of peace to maintain my wellbeing. (cos without it, you're no good to anyone, right).

6. Reading - just for fun. I've even got my mom involved - we are reading the same fiction novel and check-in with each other via text about the storyline. 📖🤓

Alright, what would you add to the list? Or what are you going to try? Sending you a boost of energy and motivation to keep going.

p.s. This beautiful balanced and other recipe ideas are in my book ‘Calm Mornings’ (which you can get at https://solefirewellness.com/product/calm-mornings-print-book)

“YOU'VE CHANGED”🙅🏻‍♀️ Those words? They’re actually not such a bad thing... So. I got married when I was 19. Despite how young I was, it wasn't a frivolous decision.

We put a lot of thought into it, and while we were both convinced we'd be together forever (spoiler we are not), we had some growing up to do.

Those 5 years taught me a lot about stepping up and stepping into the person I want to be.

Here I am a whole decade and a half later and I continue to evolve and change with each life stage and lesson... and 2020 has put this into overdrive... for everyone!

Trying to be someone you're not, fill a role that doesn't feel true to you, or do things the way they're 'supposed' to be done (when that doesn't feel right or make sense to you), is exhausting.

No wonder there's more burn out, depression and fatigue in society than ever before.

The thing is, when you start to gain the confidence to step into your authentic self, trust your inner-light, stand up for what you believe is right, and say sayōnara to the 'rules'... then stuff can get messy and hard yes, but boy does it feel liberating.

🔥

People will tell you that you've changed, you're wrong, or whatever else they need to feel safe and in control.

But change is not the enemy. Change comes with growth, change comes with strength, change comes with self confidence.

Evolving is a good and necessary thing.

Staying open to new ideas is essential if you want to achieve your goals and reach higher levels of wellbeing.

So next time someone tells you that you've changed?

When you know it's come from being true to yourself to live your life in the healthiest way that works for you, then just smile and say 'thanks' because that means you’re on the right track 🙏

Leave a 🙌 in the comments if (you actually read this miniature novel and) it resonates 😉

IMAGINE you woke up this morning and your first thought was 'Everything I have is enough. I am exactly where I need to be right now. I don't need more and I don't need to change anything. It’s ALL ok.'⁣⁣⁣⁣

Our perspective plays an important role in our contentment with life and our current reality. ⁣⁣⁣
⁣⁣⁣
This year has taught us more than ever about appreciating what we already have, and finding joy amongst the challenge.

Sometimes it takes longer than we’d like to get through the muck, but just remember, one day you’ll be able to look back at your challenges and see how they shaped you and helped you step into a more empowered and resilient version of yourself.

: The health hack *no one* talks about 🤐 Save this post!

Is it time for you to book one (or more) of these appointments?

I know that these checks can be momentarily uncomfortable or just plain inconvenient, but the momentary discomfort outweighs itself in the peace of mind it leaves you with later🙏

Here's a list of some standard recommended checks. As always, consider your personal circumstances and consult your chosen healthcare practitioner on what you need. This is not a definitive list and meant to inspire you to be proactive 🙌

- Pelvic exam and Pap smear
- Breast exam
- Physical exam
- General blood test
- Cholesterol test
- Blood pressure screening
- Eye exam
- Dental exam
- Skin check

Don't forget exams tailored to you and your families health history, like:
- Colonoscopies
- Heart health checks
- Bone density test

Have I inspired you to book something in? Save this post as a reminder!

Major perk of tracking your cycle? Brownies. (Vegan, gluten-free brownies for me). You’ll know exactly when it’s a good time to make a batch. Essential snacking sorted.

I’ve been tracking for over a decade and have learned a lot along the way, having tried many different techniques. I’ve got my go-to tools now that I can’t live without to make sure I’m on top of it.

If you’d like to learn more about cycle tracking not only for your brownie consumption, but for how it can help you maximize your energy and achieve your goals, then come say hey in messenger 👋🏼 (click the blue ‘Send Message’ button on this page).

Us ladies go through this every month, why not make it as seamless and enjoyable as possible? I’d love to help!

Ok, I’m off to eat another brownie ✌🏼

Which one can you do today? Bet you can do even more than just one in the next 24 hours!

For me, self-care is less about indulgence 💅🧖‍♀️ and more about understanding and then prioritizing my basic needs to be happy and healthy. ⁣

I think it’s important to note that whilst we want to prioritize self-care, there’s a balance to be struck.

We don’t need to push our way to the front to get what we need, there’s room for everyone, and making sure we still consider others whilst looking after ourselves is a balance I always strive for. ⁣

There’s a place for saying no, and there’s a place for sharing and compromise. ⁣

Now tell me, which one are you going to try today?👇🏼

Enjoy taking good care of yo’self!

🙌 -Em
