🎉 Happy Birthday Sherrie 🎉

Today we’re celebrating Sherrie. She’s the one who keeps everything running smoothly behind the scenes; our incredible admin superstar! 🥳

The do’er, the fixer-upper, the organiser, the problem-solver, and the person who somehow always knows exactly where everything is and how to get things done. From juggling schedules and keeping us on track to finding solutions before we even realise there’s a problem, she is truly the brains behind all things admin.

Her dedication, efficiency, and unwavering support make an enormous difference to our team, our families, and the children we work with every day. We are so grateful for everything she does and the positivity she brings to the workplace.

Please join us in wishing her the happiest of birthdays and a year filled with all the joy, laughter, and appreciation she deserves! 🎂🎈✨

🌏 International Day of Play 2026 🌏
Protect Play, Protect Childhood

Children don’t need every moment scheduled, structured, or focused on achievement. They need opportunities to play.

Play is where children explore, create, connect, take risks, solve problems, and work through life’s experiences. It is a natural and essential part of childhood.

Today, we celebrate the importance of giving children the time, space, and freedom to be children.

Protect play. Protect childhood.

💚 What is your favourite childhood play memory?

Building stronger connections, one session at a time.

Today, we began a 10-week Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT) program with families committed to strengthening their relationships through the power of play.

CPRT supports parents and caregivers to develop therapeutic play skills that help children feel seen, heard, and understood. Through weekly sessions, families learn practical ways to build trust, improve communication, support emotional expression, and deepen their connection.

It is a privilege to walk alongside parents as they discover the incredible impact of intentional play and relationship-focused parenting.

We look forward to seeing the growth, confidence, and connection that unfolds over the coming weeks. 💛

🌈 Play Therapy Appointments Available

Our Play Therapists support children and young people aged 3–17 years through the power of play. 🎨

Play Therapy is a child-centred approach that helps children express, process, and make sense of their feelings and experiences in a safe and supportive environment, at their own pace. 💛

It can be beneficial for children experiencing anxiety, trauma, attachment challenges, grief and loss, ADHD, ASD, and a range of other emotional, social, and behavioural difficulties. 🧩

Today we took some time to step away from the playroom, connect as a team, and fill our own cups. ☕✨

Supporting children and families is incredibly rewarding work, and we know that taking care of ourselves helps us show up as our best selves for those we work with.

Lots of laughs, good conversations, and a chance to simply be together outside of session time. We’re grateful for a team that values connection, support, and looking after one another.

Because even Play Therapists need a little play, rest, and recharge sometimes. 🌿💛

Children do not exist in isolation. They are affected by what is happening around them, even when adults believe they are shielding them from difficulties.

Family and environmental stress can take many forms, including parental separation, bereavement, illness, financial pressures, housing changes, conflict within the home, caring responsibilities or significant life transitions. Even positive changes can sometimes feel overwhelming for children.

Children often communicate distress through their behaviour rather than words. This may look like increased anxiety, emotional outbursts, withdrawal, sleep difficulties, low mood, reduced confidence or challenges at school.

Play therapy provides children with a safe and developmentally appropriate space to process their experiences. Through play, creative expression and the therapeutic relationship, children can explore feelings, make sense of what is happening around them and develop healthier ways of coping.

When children feel understood and supported, they are often better able to manage challenges and thrive both at home and in school.

We had a VIP puppy visit in the office today 🐶

A very sweet little visitor popped in and completely stole the show.
Fun fact: Charly and the VIP are from the same breeder (misty_creek_rose_acds AND even share the same mum 🐶🐾

My hu-mum sent me for a haircut today……look at how ridiculous I look 😭

I asked for my usual fluffy, curly teddy bear look and somehow came home looking like a silky little sausage. My emotional support curls are GONE.

The children at therapy may need a minute to process this betrayal because honestly… so do I.

Please tell me I’m still cute while I adjust to my new identity 🐾✂️

All 3 of our play therapists are in the practice today 💛✨

A full house of creativity, connection, regulation, laughter, sand tray worlds, games, art, and therapeutic play happening across our spaces today.

We feel incredibly grateful to support children and families through the unique strengths each therapist brings into the playroom every day 🌿

To our families: thank you for trusting us to walk alongside your children.

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mums, grandmothers, carers and maternal figures in our community. 💐

From our play therapists and admin team, we are thinking of all our families today.

We also acknowledge that Mother’s Day can be difficult for those who are grieving, missing their mum, or finding today challenging for any reason. 🤍
