If you’ve woken up with a sore neck, start gently.
Place a warm heat pack on the tight area for 10–15 minutes to relax the muscles.
Then try slow neck stretches. Tilt your head side to side and look up and down without forcing it.
If it still feels stiff, use your fingertips for a light self‑massage along the side of your neck and the base of your skull. Gentle squeezing is also effective.
If it’s persistent, consider making an appointment for a massage where a broader range of techniques can be applied to ease your tension.
Perhaps also check the condition of your pillows and their position to improve sleeping posture.
