Goodstart Springfield Lakes Participated in Australia’s 2026 National Simultaneous Storytime📚

On Wednesday, 27 May 2026 at 12:00 pm, Goodstart Springfield Lakes proudly participated in Australia’s National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS), a wonderful annual event celebrating the joy of reading and literacy development for children across the country.
Alongside millions of children and readers in schools, libraries, early learning centres, and homes across Australia, our children came together to read the same picture book at the same time, creating a shared experience that inspired imagination, connection, and a love of books.
We have been participating in this event for last 3 years and this year we took it one step further by dressing up in our favourite team jerseys to honour ‘Luna Roo’.
Our children thoroughly enjoyed being part of this special event and shared in the magic of storytelling. Experiences like National Simultaneous Storytime foster early literacy skills, encourage creativity, and remind us of the power stories have to bring communities together.

It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the joy of reading and learning together. ❤️

We had a very special visitor in Kindy 1 today 🐾💛

Luna the 5-month-old Saint Bernard came in for a visit, thanks to one of our lovely families! The children absolutely loved meeting her—there were lots of gentle pats, big smiles, and curious conversations about how to care for dogs.

Experiences like this help build confidence, empathy, and understanding of the world around us 🐶✨

Last week our children created beautiful poppy flowers in honour of Anzac Day 🌺

As they carefully made and placed each poppy into our garden, we spoke about remembrance, kindness, and taking a moment to reflect. It was a gentle and meaningful way for the children to connect with the significance of the day ❤️

Tiny explorers on the move! 🌿☀️ Our Nursery 1 adventurers rolled off in the pram for a playground picnic, enjoying morning tea under the open sky and plenty of giggles along the way. 🧺💛 From fresh air to first friendships with nature, it was a morning full of simple joys and big smiles! 🌳✨
