Last week St Helens Medical Centre were raising awareness of the disease cystic fibrosis (CF).

Cystic Fibrosis is a progressive, inherited genetic disease that causes the body to produce abnormally thick, sticky mucus. This buildup clogs the lungs and digestive organs, leading to severe breathing difficulties, chronic lung infections, and major nutritional deficiencies.

Our Health Care Assistant, Lindsey, is taking on a self funded challenge along with her daughter trekking to Everest base camp.
