Every step shouldn’t be painful.

Foot pain can have a big impact on the way we move, exercise and go about our everyday lives.

I’ve been doing further study in foot treatments, and it has really reinforced for me just how important our feet are as the foundation of our body. When there is tension or restriction through the feet, calves or lower legs, it can affect the way we move well beyond the foot itself.

As a massage therapist, I love looking at the body as a whole rather than simply treating where the pain is felt. With foot treatments, I can work on the soft tissues of the feet and lower legs to help improve mobility, reduce tension and support better movement.

Our feet carry us every single day - they deserve a little attention too. I will always check in with you whether you would like me to include your feet in a massage treatment or if you want longer treatment on your feet and lower leg that can be done for up to 30 minutes of your treatment.

Lovely start to the day with my two birthday friends, G and Moz - there are definitely signs of spring in the air.

Are you feeling the change of season yet?

Self-care …. It’s been a big day and I’m stretching and doing my lower back routine in the sauna.

All my clients today had lower back issues so I’m sharing this video that I find useful.

Do you suffer for lower back pain? Do you find exercise or stretching helps?

Tuesday thoughts 💚

Today was one of those days that reminded me why I love what I do.

I helped people with shoulder pain, supported recovery after sporting events, worked with clients experiencing low back pain, and listened to what was going on in their lives.

Because massage therapy isn’t always just about the muscles.

Sometimes people need someone to listen, a safe space to switch off, and an hour to focus on themselves.

I’m grateful that I get to help people feel a little better - physically and mentally - every day.

How was your day? If you’re looking for a massage spot I might be able to squeeze in 30 minutes here and there in the next two weeks otherwise I have an hour available on 24 August. After that some limited availability for the first week of September and limited availability later in that month

Saturday Stretch - Three-Legged Downward Dog:)
And just like that, we’ve reached the final photo in my holiday series 🤎

I couldn’t resist finishing with a stretch that combines strength, mobility and a little bit of fun! Keeping supple as well as strong and mobile should be one of our goals as we age.

This is a variation of Three-Legged Downward Dog, I’ve used the bench to elevate one foot. It’s a great way to challenge your balance while opening up the hips and stretching through the back of the legs.

Benefits include:
• Stretches the hamstrings and calves
• Opens and mobilises the hips
• Strengthens the shoulders, arms and core
• Encourages spinal length and mobility

It also reminds us that stretching (and exercise in general ) doesn’t have to happen in a gym or studio. A park, a bench and a few minutes are all you need.

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday. It is a gorgeous afternoon back in Sydney. This week I have cancellation availability only. Please message me if you would like a cancellation spot. I have one or two spots left for August (on the 24th) and September is filling up. Please book ahead if you want an appointment.
I’ve also started taking appointments until the end of the year (18 December)
