Welcome to the world, beautiful Ayzen — the newest little love in Zarin & Rony’s family, and a very special promotion for big sister Amaliyah. 🥰

✨ Amaliyah is a beautiful name often associated with hope, aspiration and striving towards something wonderful.
✨ Ayzen, a modern and distinctive name, carries a sense of strength, individuality and uniqueness — rather fitting for this gorgeous little man!

From trusting us with their pregnancy journey to the moment Ayzen finally arrived, it has been such a privilege to care for this beautiful family through another chapter. ❤️

And judging by these photos, Amaliyah has already understood the big-sister job description: cuddles, kisses, protection… and probably a little bit of bossing around! 😂

Meet baby Celine, the newest (and tiniest!) member of the crew,
And big sister Elyse, already showing her what to do! 🎀
First come the cuddles, the kisses and staring in awe,
Soon it’ll be “Muuuum… Celine touched my stuff!” from across the floor. 😂
They’ll share toys, secrets, clothes… well, maybe not clothes,

One little placenta, one little sac,
Two tiny babies sharing the same track. 💕
MoMo twins are incredibly rare — around 1 in 10,000, a truly special pair.
With no dividing membrane, their cords can intertwine,
So extra scans and close monitoring become part of the design. 💓💓
Prematurity and cord complications can make the journey tough,
But these tiny fighters often show us just how strong is strong enough.
With careful planning and an incredible team by their side,
Two little miracles finally make their grand arrival! 👶👶
Two heartbeats. One sac. One extraordinary journey. Twice the joy. ✨

And behind this beautiful arrival was an equally extraordinary team. ❤️

Baby Hazel now sharing the spotlight …..with Big Sister Lara, who maintains she is still the family favourite……Dad Tom is just happy to rest his head on something, while mum Irene behind the camera will not trade this beautiful little circus for anything !! 👶🏻❤️🥰

✨ Have you heard about antenatal colostrum expressing? ✨

Did you know that from around 36 weeks of pregnancy (for suitable women), you may be able to start expressing and storing small amounts of colostrum—your baby’s very first superfood. 💛

Colostrum is packed with antibodies, nutrients and immune-boosting properties. Having some stored before birth can be particularly helpful if your baby needs extra feeds after delivery, experiences low blood sugars, or has difficulty feeding in the first few days.

The benefits include:
🤱 A valuable backup of your own milk if supplementation is needed.
🩷 Confidence in learning hand expressing before your baby arrives.
🍼 A precious source of nutrition for babies who may need a little extra support after birth.

A reassuring message for all mums… 🌸

Not everyone is able to express colostrum during pregnancy—and that’s completely normal. Some women collect several syringes, while others may not get a single drop. This does not predict your milk supply or your ability to breastfeed after birth. Your body is simply different, and many women who don’t express anything antenatally go on to breastfeed very successfully.

⚠️ Antenatal expressing isn’t suitable for everyone, so always discuss it with your obstetrician or midwife before starting.

If you’re booked to deliver at North Shore Private Maternity, you can collect an Antenatal Colostrum Expressing Kit from the maternity unit, complete with collection syringes and instructions.

Our wonderful Practice Midwives, Kate Couper and Kristin Gosling, are also available to answer your questions and guide you through the process if it’s right for you. 💙

Some goodbyes are harder than others… 🤍🇦🇺🇬🇧

Today we say goodbye to our beautiful midwife Chloe, who is heading home to the UK after three wonderful years in Australia.

From the moment she joined the North Shore Private Maternity family, Chloe has cared for countless mothers, babies and families with kindness, compassion and an ever-present smile. Her calm presence during labour, gentle reassurance on the postnatal ward and unwavering dedication have touched so many lives.

As obstetricians and neonatologists, we know that exceptional maternity care is never the work of one person. It takes an extraordinary team, and Chloe has been such an important part of ours. We have been incredibly fortunate to work alongside her, and our patients have been even luckier to have her by their side during some of life’s most precious moments.

On behalf of all the Obstetricians, Neonatologists and the entire North Shore Private Maternity team, thank you, Chloe, for everything you have given to our families, our colleagues and our unit. Your warmth, professionalism and friendship will be deeply missed.
