Behind every funeral is a family learning to navigate one of life’s hardest moments.

Our promise is simple: to provide compassionate care, genuine support, and a farewell that truly reflects the person being honoured.

Because funerals aren’t just about saying goodbye — they’re about celebrating a life, sharing memories, and creating a lasting tribute.

A few days ago we honoured and remembered Royce Royal Hura.

Surrounded by whānau, friends and all those whose lives he touched, Royce was farewelled with love, pride, laughter, tears and the strength of culture that binds generations together.

The sound of voices raised in tribute, the sharing of memories, the embrace of family and the presence of community reminded us all that while a life may end, a legacy lives on through those left behind.

To Royce’s whānau, thank you for allowing Harmony Funerals to walk alongside you during this journey and to help celebrate a life that meant so much to so many.

Moe mai rā, Royce.
Rest peacefully and journey safely to those who have gone before you.

Today we farewelled the late Royce Royal Hura at Kemps Creek Memorial Park, surrounded by those who knew and loved him most.

Today, in the Pavilion of Tranquility, we honoured his life and released doves, a gentle and symbolic farewell, carrying with them our love, our grief, and our memories.

Royce returned home for his final three nights, held close by his whānau in aroha a sacred time of kōrero, remembrance, and farewell. Back where his wairua belonged.

A special mention must be made to his beautiful daughter, Dakota, who is just five years old. Your strength, your presence, and the love you carry for your Dad did not go unnoticed. He lives on in you always.

Royce’s farewell was a reminder of the importance of whānau and culture and taking the time to say goodbye properly.

Hoki atu rā ki ō tūpuna, ki te kāinga tūturu o te wairua. Moe mai rā.
(Return to your ancestors, to the true home of the spirit. Rest now).🤍

📸 Special thanks to EVP Films for the beautiful images.
