❤️ Supporting Our Community, One BBQ at a Time! ❤️

At Newhaven Funerals, being part of our community means more than just being there during difficult times. It means looking out for one another and lending a hand wherever we can.

When we heard that Yurana Aged Care had sadly lost their outdoor kitchen to a fire, we wanted to do something to help.

We were delighted to donate a new BBQ to help bring back those outdoor gatherings, shared meals, and special moments that mean so much to residents and staff alike. 🌭☀️

After all, a little setback shouldn't mean residents have to miss out on the simple joys of getting together, enjoying a BBQ, and spending time with friends.

We're proud to support the wonderful team at Yurana Aged Care and hope the new BBQ brings plenty of smiles, laughter, and happy afternoons for everyone.

Because community is about looking after each other. ❤️

Today we had the privilege of facilitating a donation from the lovely Ella Shields - the daughter of our mortician Erika (pictured here).

Ella generously provided a large number of squishmallows for the Starlight Children's Foundation Australia in Brisbane, an incredible team that brings joy and happiness to sick children across the country.

Recently, one of our fantastic Funeral Directors, Jason, delivered a lovely new end of life comfort cart to the beautiful team at Lady Small Haven in Benowa.

These carts provide practical comforts for not only those in the closing stages of their lives, but also provisions and comforts for families who hold vigil with their loved ones, to allow them to spend more time at the bedside and less time having to leave the room for basic needs.

What a fun day out at the Austin Healey Spectacular yesterday!

Last week, Benita and Brad took the opportunity to pop down to Tugun Bowls Club to see the lovely Gayle from Jake's Allstars Charity Rugby League Team, two years after the sad passing of her son Jake Steane.

Gayle and the Jake's Allstars team provide incredible support to the Gold Coast community, working closely with local charities and community groups for 10 years to provide support to mates that need it. It has been a privilege to sponsor this incredible team, and we encourage you to check out their page and give them your support!
