Facial Lymph Form and Flow ~

Unlike blood, lymph has no central pump. Its movement depends on breathing, muscle activation and gentle mechanical stimulation.

The first diagram shows the primary facial lymph nodes; in front of the ear, along the jawline and down the neck. These nodes act as collection and filtration stations. This is where lymph from the facial tissue gathers before continuing its journey.

The second image illustrates how lymph travels through these node regions towards the subclavian vein.

Lymph moves throughout the tissue of the face. From the forehead, eye area and cheeks, it is guided outward towards the ears - towards the first collecting nodes. From there, it continues downward along the neck towards the venous angle, where it re-enters circulation.
