It’s autumn at the Coach House and the persimmon tree is laden with beautiful golden fruit. The days have a chill to them now and the nights are icy. Winter’s approaching.
It’s a time for drawing in, settling down, getting cozy.
I love the way the seasons remind us how cyclical we are. As women, we move in cycles - through our days, our months, our lives.
We’re not meant to be in an eternal summer, forever blooming, forever producing but sometimes we forget this. The truth is, a phase is only uncomfortable when we refuse to honour it.
We can brace against the cold and complain about the rain. Or we can snuggle into it - light the candles early, put on soft woollens and cozy socks, share something slow-cooked and comforting with the people we love.
The same is true of our lives: when we override our need for rest & replenishment, that depletion colours everything.
I write about this Awakening Radiance… and how when you attune to your own rhythms and your truth, every season reveals its own beauty, its own deliciousness to savour.
Tell me, how do you honour the seasons of your life? 🍂💛
