Same jumper, same event, almost 3 years to the exact dot.
But the woman wearing it? Completely different.

In 2023, I took a leap and invested in myself and Stuart Earl to go to Aaron Sansoni Aaron Sansoni’s Empire event. Honestly, I thought we were going for Stu. Turns out, it was the exact push I needed to move myself forward.
Looking back at that first photo, I was 15 months postpartum, coming out of the haze, finishing breastfeeding, and trying to figure out who I was while going back to work. I was lost, anxious, and confused. I knew I needed something else but I didn't really know what.
That one event gave birth to Vida, my business baby. It reignited a fire in my soul that I knew had dimmed.

So what actually happened after that?
I left my job at UQ after 7 years. It just wasn't aligned anymore, management changed, the environment felt different, and frankly, I had changed too. I wanted more flexibility for my daughter, and I wanted to make a real impact. There was something missing.

So I opened Vida, found my feet as a business owner, and joined my beautiful tribe at BNI Synergise. And I grew. I mean GREW, from a corporate employee to running a business by myself. Then 2025 hit and I hired two employee and now 2026 I asitting with three incredible employees, doing work that truly changes things for our clients.
Most of all, I got choice back.
- Choice over my time and which meetings I go to.
- Choice to work from home or from our beautiful space in Sumner.
- Getting back 3 hours a day in commuting.
- Choice over what I stress about—because I chose these ventures.
- Freedom to run my own schedule and timing.
- I can have a nap at lunchtime if I desire
And so much more.

I’m so grateful for my years in corporate and the incredible leaders who shaped me. They made me who I am. And thank you to Aaron for opening my eyes to a world of business I didn't even know existed. My life is so much richer and more exci than it has ever been!

I share this because 3 years ago, I was stuck and lost. If I can completely change my life and rebuild my dreams from scratch, you can too. 🔥

This week, I had the absolute pleasure of welcoming Cr Sarah Hutton (the other kind of counsellor 😉) and her team to Vida Life Counselling.

We covered so many important topics, including nervous system regulation, domestic and family violence and the factors that contribute to it, support for parents, the unique challenges faced by business owners, Día de los Mu***os (Day of the Dead), and our upcoming Business & Balance afternoon this October as part of Queensland Mental Health Week.

It was one of those conversations where time seemed to disappear, we could have easily talked for another few hours!

Thank you, Sarah and your team, for taking the time to visit. I truly appreciated the opportunity to share ideas, learn from one another, and explore ways we can continue supporting our community. I’m already looking forward to the next conversation.

Thank you to the wonderful Stouch Auto Muda for such a great event last night. Raising over 21k for charities. helping Hands Ipswich and Daraja Impacthub . The generosity of everyone involved was incredible and such a beautiful reminder of how much impact we can all have. Thanks A Better Way Financial Partners for the laughs! Thank you to Life by Sarah for the beautiful event today. I was privileged to be a speaker at this wonderful fundraiser for Pancare Foundation. We learnt about the nervous system and what it is that we are actually trying to regulate. No fancy words, just basic, fundamental and real life approaches to living a healthier and more holistic life.

This event was such a worthy cause, helping those work GI cancers and shedding much needed light on a cancer that needs more research. This event brought together community, survivors, supporters, fighters to celebrate the life of Bruce, keep his legacy going. Thank you Sarah!
