Today we say farewell to Dr Jack Kain as he finishes his final day at Gap Road Medical Centre.

We thank Dr Kain for his dedication, compassion and the care he has provided to our patients over the years. He has been a valued member of our team and will be greatly missed.

Important Update: Bulk Billing Consent Required from 1 July 2026

From 1 July 2026, all patients who are bulk billed will need to provide their consent after every GP appointment before Medicare can be billed.

After your consultation, you will receive a consent request from HotDoc via push notification, email, or SMS (depending on your notification preferences).

What you need to do:

Open the message from HotDoc after your appointment.
Review the billing details.
Confirm your consent to allow us to process your bulk billing claim with Medicare.

This is a new Medicare requirement and applies to every bulk-billed GP visit.

If you need assistance, please speak with our reception team—we're happy to help.

✨ Welcome Dr Danielle Strong! ✨

We’re excited to welcome Dr Danielle Strong, our newest GP Registrar, to the team at Gap Road Medical Centre.

Dr Strong graduated from Monash University in 2014 and brings over 10 years of experience working in hospitals and emergency departments across Australia. She made the move to General Practice in 2025 and enjoys all aspects of medicine.

When she’s not at work, you’ll find her dancing or playing the piano.
