Today we celebrate the dads, stepdads, grandfathers, foster dads, father figures, and all those who provide the love, guidance and support of a dad.

We also recognise that Father’s Day can bring many different emotions. For some, it’s a day of celebration; for others, it may be a day of remembrance, reflection, or simply a difficult day.

🌸 Welcome Spring!🌸

Spring is in the air… and so is the pollen!

For many of us, spring means warmer days, beautiful blooms and more time outdoors. But for hay fever sufferers, it can also mean sneezing, itchy eyes and a runny nose. 🤧🌼

A few simple ways to make spring a little easier:

🌿 Keep an eye on pollen levels and plan outdoor activities accordingly.
🕶️ Wear sunglasses outdoors to help protect your eyes from pollen.
🚿 Shower and change your clothes after spending lots of time outside.
🪟 Keep windows closed on particularly high-pollen or windy days.
💧 Stay hydrated and take a little extra care of yourself when symptoms flare up.
💊 Speak with your pharmacist or healthcare professional about suitable hay fever treatments if you need extra support.

Spring is too lovely to spend the whole season sneezing! 🌷

💛 Meet Another One of Our Little Fighters – Charli’s Story 💛

This September, we’re sharing the stories of incredible children whose lives have been touched by The Kids' Cancer Project.

When little Charli McCabe was diagnosed with leukaemia, life changed overnight for her family. During long days and difficult treatments in hospital, three special bears from The Kids’ Cancer Project Bear Program became treasured companions—not just for Charli, but for her siblings too. They brought comfort, smiles and a little sense of normality during one of the hardest times a family can face.

It’s a beautiful reminder that something as simple as a teddy bear can provide hope, courage and comfort to a child undergoing cancer treatment while also helping to fund life-saving childhood cancer research.

🤧 Cold & Flu Symptoms? Please Help Us Keep Everyone Safe 😷

With an increase in COVID-19 and influenza cases at the moment, we’re asking all patients to help us protect our community — particularly our immunocompromised and vulnerable patients, including those undergoing treatments such as chemotherapy.

📞 If you have cold or flu symptoms, please book a Telehealth appointment where possible. Many concerns can be managed without you needing to attend the clinic in person.

If you do need to come into the clinic with minor cold or flu symptoms, you are still welcome, but we ask that you please:

🦠 Test for COVID-19 and influenza before attending
😷 Bring a mask and wear it at all times while inside the clinic
📞 Let our reception team know about your symptoms when booking

These simple precautions help protect our doctors and staff, as well as patients in our waiting room who may be particularly vulnerable to infection.

💛 Meet One of Our Little Fighters – Nicholas’ Story 💛

This September, we’re sharing the inspiring stories of some very special little fighters supported by The Kids’ Cancer Project.

When Nicholas was diagnosed with childhood cancer, his family’s world changed overnight. Like so many families, they were faced with uncertainty, fear and countless challenges. But instead of letting those emotions define them, Nicholas’ mum, Claudia, found a meaningful way to give back.

She became a volunteer reader for Write a Book in a Day, an inspiring fundraising initiative that brings people together to support childhood cancer research. More than a decade later, Claudia continues to volunteer because she knows every story written helps fund research that gives hope to children like Nicholas and future generations. (The Kids’ Cancer Project)

Their story is a powerful reminder that every act of kindness—whether it’s volunteering, fundraising or donating—can help create a brighter future for children facing cancer.
