Food made with love and intention ๐
Thank you so much Lorraine
Nourishing women through every season of life, at Yoga 101 Retreat.
Today's lunch on Retreat at Yoga X101 was an Ayurvedic-inspired offering created to gently warm, nourish, and restore.
Warming Turmeric Spiced Pumpkin Soup topped with creamy cashew sour cream, turmeric-roasted pumpkin seeds, and vibrant pumpkin seed pesto, served alongside golden sweet potato cakes with cooling coconut & dill yoghurt.
In Ayurveda, perimenopause is considered a time when Vata dosha naturally increases. Vata governs movement, the nervous system, and change, and when out of balance can contribute to symptoms such as anxiety, poor sleep, dry skin, joint discomfort, and hormonal fluctuations.
This meal has been intentionally designed to help ground and balance Vata through warm, cooked, easily digestible foods, healthy nourishing fats, and digestive spices.
Turmeric supports a healthy inflammatory response.
Pumpkin and sweet potato provide grounding, naturally sweet nourishment that helps calm Vata while supporting digestion.
Pumpkin seeds offer magnesium and zinc to support hormone health and nervous system function.
Cashews and coconut provide sustaining healthy fats that nourish the tissues and promote satiety.
Fresh dill adds digestive support while bringing balance to the richness of the meal.
Ayurveda teaches us that food is our first medicine. When we eat with intention, according to the seasons and the body's changing needs, we create the opportunity for true healing from within.
Prepared with love and intention, vegan menu and shared in community. ๐ค
