🥋 Meet the Founder and Coach – “Red”
Hi, I’m Ian… but most people know me as Red (I’ll let you guess why 🔴).
Sport and fitness have always been a big part of my life from rugby league, to years in the gym, to now holding a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Alongside that, I work as a disability support worker, and that’s where everything really came together.
I hold a Cert 111 in Individualised Support (Disability), Diploma in Community Services, Blue Card, Yellow Card and First Aid & CPR.
Through my work, I saw firsthand how powerful movement can be. The confidence it builds. The connections it creates. But I also saw the gap—there just aren’t enough inclusive options out there for people with disabilities.
That didn’t sit right with me.
So I created Rolling With Abilities, a space where martial arts is adapted to the individual, not the other way around.
Every session is built around:✔️ Confidence✔️ Movement✔️ Community
No assumptions. No limitations. Just meeting people where they’re at and helping them grow.
If you or someone you support is looking for a safe, supportive and inclusive way to get active, I’d love to connect 👊
