if you’ve made it this far, you’ve probably realised i’m not everyone’s cup of tea, and that’s kind of the point

the health & fitness industry is LOUD. everyone’s either trying to sell you a detox, convince you carbs are evil, train more, or make you believe your life will fall apart because you missed a session

meanwhile, i’m over here eating chocolate, encouraging rest days, and reminding people that one workout (or one pizza) isn’t going to make or break your progress

if you want someone who’s going to blow a whistle every time you slow down or make you earn your dinner, i’m probably not your coach

but if you want to get stronger, fuel your body well, enjoy your life and see progress without making fitness your entire personality, you’re in the right place 🫶🏼

turning 29 has made me realise how much pressure we put on ourselves to be “on time.” as if life has a deadline for finding yourself, being established in your career, buying a house, falling in love, making memories, or becoming the person you’re meant to be

maybe there isn’t a timeline? maybe life unfolds exactly when it’s supposed to. and maybe the best version of me isn’t behind me, it’s still on its way 👀

here’s to trusting that there’s still so much life left to live 🤍 bring on the final year of my 20s!!!!

girl, lets chat 💬

if you’re constantly chasing “smaller”, don’t forget to ask yourself what it’s costing you

there’s a difference between being in a well-managed calorie deficit and living in a state of low energy availability (lea)

lea occurs when your body doesn’t have enough energy left over to support normal physiological function after accounting for exercise. this can happen from under-eating, overtraining, or a combination of both

left unmanaged, chronic lea can progress to relative energy deficiency in sport (red-s)—a condition that affects far more than your performance

it can impact:
• menstrual function (including hypothalamic amenorrhea)
• bone health and increase your risk of osteoporosis and stress fractures
• recovery and injury risk
• metabolism
• immune function
• cardiovascular health
• mood and cognitive function
• sleep quality
• muscle growth and strength
• hair, skin and nail health

the scary part? more and more people wear the warning signs like badges of honour thanks to hustle culture and the ‘if you wanted it bad enough you would’ mentality

“i never get hungry.”
“i haven’t had a period in months.”
“i’m always exhausted, but i’m pushing through.”
“i’m training twice a day.”

these aren’t signs that your plan is working. they’re signs your body is adapting to survive

of course, body composition goals are okay to have. but they should never come at the expense of your long-term health
