Menopause Weight Gain? When You Eat Matters
It’s not just what you eat. When you eat can matter too.
Your body generally handles glucose better earlier in the day, so regularly saving your biggest meal, especially a carb-dominant one for late at night may mean a bigger glucose and insulin response.
Try this instead:
→ Eat more of your food earlier in the day
→ Have your carbs early in the day when practical
→ Keep dinner balanced rather than making it your biggest meal of the day
→ Avoid regularly eating large meals right before bed and try and leave a 2 hour gap between eating and going to bed to allow proper digestion of food.
It’s not about cutting carbs or never eating after 6pm.
It’s about working with your biology, not against it.
