I love the fact that 1st August is considered the Horse Birthday, it is the pure essence of a collective energy.

So the herd and I have decided to offer a limit number of 1:1 Equine Constellation sessions this month on weekends.

What is Equine Constellations?
Imagine stepping into a paddock, slowing down, and allowing the horses to become part of a conversation that doesn’t rely on words.

Equine Constellations brings together the wisdom of systemic constellation work, nature and the intuitive awareness of horses to explore the relationships, patterns and experiences that shape our lives in a trauma informed practise.

Rather than sitting in a chair and simply talking about something, you are invited to explore it in a different way — through movement, space, the horses and what you notice happening within yourself.

The horses aren’t there to “fix” you or provide answers.
They aren’t trained to perform, but they partner with the experience.

They offer a powerful opportunity to slow down, become present and notice what emerges.

You might choose to explore:
• Relationships and family patterns
• Feeling stuck or repeating old patterns
• Boundaries and connection
• Life transitions and big changes
• Belonging and finding your place
• What you want to move towards in your next chapter

There is no need to be an experienced horse person. You don’t need to ride, and you don’t need to know anything about horses.

You simply need to be curious.

Sometimes a shift happens through a conversation.
Sometimes through a feeling.
Sometimes through a horse quietly choosing to stand beside you.

And sometimes, when we step out of our usual environment and see things from a different perspective, something becomes clearer.

Equine Constellations is an invitation to pause, notice and explore — with horses, nature and a little more space to hear yourself.

I’ve worked in the mental health and community services sector for a long time (my first degree was back in 2000) and the one common thread I’ve consistently seen is the incredible value and importance of real connection.

When people feel they belong somewhere, it changes the way they see the world and how they show up. They begin to feel safer, more hopeful, more supported, and more willing to contribute. Belonging isn’t just a nice feeling—it’s the foundation of healthy individuals, families, and communities.

As many know, I’m doing my Masters Social Work and my recent focus has been on Community development so I have been privledged to add theory behind what my heart knows from years of observing and taking part.

CD (as they call it) is about creating opportunities for people to know one another, share their strengths, support each other through challenges, and build genuine relationships. It’s not about tokenistic gestures, flippant photo opportunities or jumping on a bandwagon of current trends.

It’s about creating space where conversations happen, friendships begin, skills are exchanged, and people are reminded that they matter. Every smile, every shared cuppa, every helping hand strengthens the fabric of our community.

The beauty of rural communities has always been found in people looking after people. When we intentionally create spaces for connection, we create stronger, healthier, and more resilient communities.

Because when communities connect, everyone grows so be the change you want to see in this world.

Our words are powerful.
They are the of us of our attention and we all know energy flows where attention goes.

As I set up a new direct debit today, rather than my description being ‘mortgage’ or ‘repayment’ I placed the words ‘building my dream life’ as a gentle reminder that this is what I’m working for.

Behind life's clouds, there is the blue sky waiting.

Sometimes the dark clouds feel like they have taken up permanent residency in your life, but there is always an opportunity to shift them as nothing is permanent (very Buddhist of me).
