Kaiviti Art for wellbeing was birthed back in 2015, after I developed the Kaiviti Cyclic Model of the Creative Process. The model illustrates a creative process that can be used, not only to create an artwork, but also to create more ease in flowing through life, despite what challenges arise.
It’s a reminder to let go of attachment to outcome, to trust the process, to find joy in the mundane, and to be present in the NOW moment.
It’s a daily practice, a way of life, a process to follow when you are feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
The original 12 week program was run as a group program for people experiencing complex mental health issues such as CPTSD, psychosis, BPD, MDD, and other complex issues. It is a safe practice that compliments psychotherapy and other therapies.
Recently the focus has shifted to working 1:1 to support clients who are dealing with grief, loss, and narcissistic abuse recovery ❤️🩹
This is a safe therapy that empowers clients to understand their creative potential and ability to heal themselves. It provides tools for life!
The commitment is two hours a week for twelve weeks, as this timeframe allows for full integration of the concepts and how to use the tools. It allows for a process to become a way of living and working through any challenge that life brings.
It’s more than creating art - it’s about creating new ways of seeing, coping, and it allows for more ease in life generally, creating more inner peace and happiness.
