Travelling as a wheelchair user is always a little nerve-racking. ✈️ You never know if your wheelchair is going to arrive to your destination.

Here are my travel must-haves:
♿ An aisle chair to get on and off the plane.
💙 A neoprene chest strap for extra support if my body decides to do its own thing.
☁️ My pressure cushion—because comfort is everything! (Bonus: you can take a cushion up to 4 kg on board.)
🏷️ A little tag with my photo and care instructions, reminding the ground crew that this isn’t just a wheelchair, it’s my independence. Please look after it!

So far, so good… 🤞 touch wood! Here’s hoping my wheels and I always arrive together! 😅

One of the most powerful features of my Tobii Dynavox TDI 13 is the built-in phone and text messaging.💜💜

For most people, sending a text is something they don’t even think about. For me, it’s independence. 📲💬📲💬

I was able to text Jesse, ask him a few questions, and he replied. That one conversation opened a door… and the rest is rocket costume history. 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
Accessible technology isn’t just about communication, it’s about creating opportunities, building friendships, and making connections that might never have happened otherwise.

Sometimes, one text message can change everything. 😆

I’ve been eating BROOKI COOKIES for a while now, but couldn’t access the Brisbane City store because of pesky stairs, but the new Brookie Cookies store in Brisbane CBD is wheelchair accessible, so I finally got the full Brookie experience and it was worth the wait.

Accessibility isn’t just about getting through the door. It’s about getting to enjoy the same sweet moments as everyone else. And yes… these cookies absolutely delicious.

Can we just take a moment to appreciate how awesome Bread & Butter Mobile Photo Booth is?! They had a ramp, so my power chair rolled straight in, and there was still room for all my friends! We got the best photos at Just Roll With It. Thanks, Bread & Butter, for making memories accessible for everyone!
