Have you ever apologised for yawning during a yoga class, meditation or breathwork session?

Please don’t. 🙂

In many cases, yawning is actually a healthy response.
As your nervous system begins to shift out of a more activated state, your body may naturally yawn. It’s one of the many ways it releases tension and transitions towards a calmer state.

Of course, sometimes a yawn simply means you’re tired. But if it happens during a practice where you’ve intentionally slowed your breath and your body, it can also be a sign that your nervous system is settling.

So next time it happens, rather than trying to suppress it, simply notice it.

Your body might be telling you:
“I finally feel safe enough to let go.” 🌿

Everyone tells you to...
“Just take a deep breath.”

It sounds simple, and it is... when you’re calm.

The challenge isn’t that slow breathing doesn’t work. The challenge is that, in moments of stress, your nervous system doesn’t automatically recognise it as a familiar way to respond.

When we’re overwhelmed before a difficult conversation, a meeting, an exam, or while caring for someone we love, our brain defaults to what it knows best.
It returns to well worn patterns, not new ones.

That’s why learning a breathing technique once isn’t usually enough.
Regulation isn’t built in the moment you need it. It’s built in all the ordinary moments beforehand.

Every time you practise when life is relatively calm, you’re teaching your nervous system:
“This is familiar.”
So when life inevitably becomes challenging again, there’s a much greater chance your breath will be available to you because your body already knows the way.

Small practices, repeated consistently, create new defaults. And that’s what makes them so powerful.

So tomorrow morning, not Monday, tomorrow, before you check your phone, take 10 slow, conscious breaths.
It’ll take about a minute.

Do it again the next day and the day after that.
Because it’s not the length of the practice that changes your nervous system.
It’s the regularity. ✨

When people think about their weekly practice, they often think about what they’re doing for an hour.

I tend to think about the other 167 hours.

Because those are the hours that shape our lives.
Every day, we’re practising something.

We’re practising how we respond to stress.
How quickly we rush.
How we speak to ourselves after making a mistake.
Whether we notice our breath or hold it without realising.
Whether we pause before reacting or move straight into old habits.

None of these patterns appear overnight and they rarely change because of one inspiring experience.
They change through repetition, not perfect repetition but a consistent one.

This is one of the reasons I encourage people to keep showing up, even when they don’t feel like it. Not because every practice needs to be profound but because every practice is another opportunity to teach your body and nervous system a different way of responding.

Over time, those small moments begin to appear outside the practice too.
In difficult conversations.
In busy mornings.
In moments of uncertainty.

Because, whether we realise it or not...we become what we practise.

What are you practising today? ✨

• Learning to be patient with my body after injury instead of expecting it to recover on my timeline.

• Wanting a quieter mind, noticing when I rush, and returning to the breath instead of striving for perfection.

• That familiar feeling of not being enough still visits sometimes. It doesn’t run my life anymore, but when it appears, I still take it to my teachers and mentors.

I’ve come much further than I ever imagined.
Yoga, Breathwork and Systemic Constellations have helped me build a life I once thought was beyond me but they haven’t made me “finished.”
They’ve helped me become more resilient, more aware, and more compassionate with myself. And they’ve given me the capacity to keep growing.

I’ll be writing more about this in an upcoming newsletter.
If you’re not part of my community yet, send me word LETTER in a DM and I’ll send you the link.

You’ll also receive my free Guided Grounding Meditation, along with practical reflections on building resilience, navigating life’s challenges, and creating lasting change. ✨

This Sunday is my last Systemic & Family Constellations workshop for 2026, and there are now just two places remaining.

I’ll be closing bookings on Friday evening so I can spend the weekend preparing and giving my full attention to the people who have already placed their trust in me by joining this workshop.

If you’ve been feeling the pull to come, I’d encourage you not to leave it until the last minute. The link is in my bio.

I look forward to welcoming you this Sunday. ✨

We’re halfway through winter here in Sydney.
By now, many of the New Year’s intentions have quietly faded into the background. Not because they didn’t matter but because life happened.

Work became busy. Family needed attention. There was always something more urgent.
And before we know it, another season has almost passed.

Perhaps winter isn’t asking us to do more.
Perhaps it’s inviting us to pause long enough to ask a different question.

Where is my energy going?

Not just my time, my energy. Because the two are not always the same.

One of the things I love about Systemic & Family Constellations is that they invite us to look at that question through a different lens.

Sometimes we discover that our energy isn’t disappearing at all. It’s simply been tied up in old responsibilities, unresolved experiences, family loyalties, or patterns we’ve carried for so long they’ve started to feel like part of who we are.

When we begin to see those patterns more clearly, something begins to shift. We stop using the same amount of energy to carry what no longer belongs to us and gradually have more available for living the life that we always wanted to live. ✨

If this has been quietly sitting with you over the past few weeks, perhaps this is your invitation.

The link is in my bio if you’d like to join us, I have two spots left. ✨

When I first heard about Systemic & Family Constellations many years ago, my reaction was probably the same as many people’s.
In fact, I remember thinking, “Constellations? You mean the ones in the sky?”

I was sceptical.

Years later, when it crossed my path again, curiosity got the better of me. I decided to experience it for myself before making up my mind.
I didn’t leave that workshop understanding Systemic Constellations.
I left understanding myself differently.

That was the beginning.
I didn’t suddenly have all the answers, but I realised there were ways of looking at our lives, our relationships, and the patterns we carry that I’d never considered before. So I kept coming back, first for myself.
That experience eventually led me to train as a facilitator.

Today, after years of study, practice, and sitting with hundreds of people, I still approach every workshop with the same curiosity I had when I first walked into the room.
Because no matter how much we know, there is always something new to discover about ourselves.

If you’ve been following this conversation over the past few weeks and wondering whether this work might be for you, perhaps this is your invitation.

There are just three places remaining, and I’d love to welcome you on 26 July.

One of the biggest surprises for people attending their first Systemic & Family Constellations workshop is discovering that they don’t only learn from their own experience.

Throughout the day, someone else’s question often shines a light on our own.

It might be a conversation about belonging that reminds us of our relationship with our father. A struggle with saying no that suddenly makes us think differently about our marriage. Or someone else’s grief helping us understand something we’ve been carrying for years.

The circumstances are rarely the same. Yet the emotions, patterns and questions beneath them often feel surprisingly familiar.

That’s one of the quiet strengths of working in a group. We don’t leave carrying everyone else’s story. We leave understanding a little more of our own.

If this has been sitting quietly in the back of your mind over the past few weeks, perhaps this is your invitation.
I’d love to welcome you into the circle on 26 July. ✨

What actually happens during a Systemic & Family Constellations workshop?

It’s an opportunity to step away from the busyness of everyday life and spend a day exploring what’s hiding behind challenges you’ve been having and trying to find an opportunity beside them.

People leave with a clearer understanding of why certain patterns keep repeating, why particular relationships feel the way they do, why some body symptoms and illnesses are recurring and why a decision that seemed impossible suddenly feels easier to navigate.

Throughout the day, we alternate between short grounding practices, small groups experiential exercises, group constellation processes, and time for reflection and integration. Some people choose to bring a specific question to explore, while others simply come to observe and discover what resonates with them. Regardless if you actively participate or simply witnessing processes, benefits are guaranteed.

There is no pressure to share more than you want to.
You don’t need any previous experience.
You don’t need to have the “right” question.
Curiosity is enough.

Every workshop is different because every group is different. This is somatic and experiential workshop and that makes this work fascinating and meaningful at the same time.

If you feel curious but still unsure, please drop me a message with any question you might have. ✨

For a long time, I thought my role was to help people find answers.

It seemed like the obvious thing to do. When someone came to me carrying a difficult decision, a painful relationship, or a question they’d been wrestling with for years, my instinct was to help them find a way through it.

But something kept challenging that idea.

The people sitting in front of me were rarely lacking intelligence or self-awareness. Many had spent years reading, reflecting, journaling, going to therapy, listening to podcasts, and trying to understand themselves better. They weren’t arriving without insight. If anything, they often had more insight than they knew what to do with.

What they were missing wasn’t another explanation.
It was an opportunity to step outside the story they’d been telling themselves for so long that it had started to feel like the only possible version of events.

That quietly changed the way I facilitate.
These days, I feel far less pressure to help someone arrive at an answer by the end of a conversation.

I’ve learned to trust what happens when people have enough space to look at their lives from a different perspective. Very often, what once felt confusing begins to make a little more sense.

And from there, people usually know what they need to do next. ✨
